Feeder works as intended. Customer Support was top notch when an issue did occur.
I believe this product is absolutely worth it if you’re looking for an automatic feeder with a camera.The app to use it is simple and has some nice options when it comes to controlling the feeder and recordings. You can set up a schedule and how much you want to depsense in 1/12 of a cup. So 12/12 being a full cup. We have set up to 5 feedings per day of smaller portions. You have to option to turn off a specific feeding that day which we like. It will resume the next day if there is still food in the bowl and you dont want any to dispense.It also uses batteries as a backup if the power were to go out. It needs 3 D batteries.We had an issued with the SD card we purchased working for approximately a week and then suddenly stopped. We promptly reached out to PetLibro support who worked with us with troubleshooting and trying different SD cards. When the second one we purchased didnt work it was escalated to a supervisor who gave us a few suggested SD cards and even compensated the purchase of one to ensure we had a smooth and good experiance. The new SD worked and we were told the ones we had to were too fast for the feeder. We chose the Kingston SDCS2 model if you’re looking for one that will work with the device.Overall the experiance with the company has been wonderful. The device works well and and is easy to use. It ensures our cats are fed when we aren’t home all day. I would happily support this company going forward.

UPDATE! It was not working due to thebAWS outage abd it’s functional again. We again love this feeder. Five starsšWell it was great until it wasn’t. It’s stopped responding to the app. My wifi says it’s connected and I can ping it but when trying to connect the cat feeder says not connected. Worked for about two months with no issues. Sadly I’m past the return window so I guess I’m screwed. Yes, I’ve followed all the suggested troubleshooting steps. š”š¤¬

This is a great feeder, but there are a few things I’ve come across that I want to share.FOOD:TYPE: Doesn’t work well with meow mix or special shaped/larger cat food. Works best with food like science diet, costco brand – smaller, round bitsPORTION: Not consistent. One serving sometimes only throws out a few bits, and barely anything if using Meow Mix (hence comment above). This isn’t necessarily a deal breaker because you can simply program it to dispense more. “One Serving” for my cat is actually 3 with this feeder.BLOCKAGE: No Issues with blockage.POWER: It plugs in and takes D batteries for a backup power supply. Our power has gone out several times and my settings are saved even without batteries.CAPACITY: It holds A LOT of food. One fill lasts me a couple of weeks with 2 cats.EASE-OF-USE: Extremely easy to program. You can also quickly unlock it by holding down the lock icon, and quickly change any or bypass the schedule and feed now.FINAL THOUGHTS: I Love this, but I recently bought the wifi model, which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The extra money it costs is nothing compared to the additional features and peace of mind it offers. For one, you can control it through the App 100%. It notifies you when the food is low, or if there’s a blockage or any issue at all. If you’re on vacation, you can monitor it from wherever to make sure it’s working and that your cat is getting fed. I’ve found the App to be extremely accurate. I use it to feed a stray cat outside since she runs away if I come near. With this, I can tap a button on my phone when I see her and the food automatically dispenses. I had it sitting outside in cold below-zero temperatures and it worked great. Every night a pack of raccoons try to break into it, but they haven’t succeeded yet. The only thing they’re able to do to it is to detach the front tray, which easily slips back on. Raccoons can usually tear anything up if there’s food inside, but they haven’t been able to do any damage to this, which says a lot!!! Granted, I’m talking about the wifi model, but it’s made the same as this one.You will not be disappointed with this brand! If you can afford it, upgrade to the one with wifi and app. It’s worth it!!!

Terrible product
– Does not dispense food evenly. Resetting, updating firmware, or adjusting the cheap plastic meal splitter does nothing to help it distribute evenly.- Motor is slow and weak. It dispenses the meal slowly in short bursts of food causing your pet to be hit in the face as they try to eat what has already been dispensed.- The bottom portion which comes in contact with food is not removable / machine washable.- If you want to automatically record feedings you have to subscribe to their video cloud service which is 59.99$ a year. (You can access the camera via the phone app and save video’s and pictures to your phone manually for free)- The machine itself is made out of cheap plastic materials and feels low quality / flimsy. Similar build quality to other 50$ feeders on amazon.- There is not an included rechargeable battery. You need to separately purchase D batteries to have a battery backup. I would expect that to be included at this price.- The description says you can set up plans for two different cats. This is not true as far as I can figure out. You simply set up one meal plan and then double the portion size. Trying to set up something like a 70 / 30 split does not work since the meal splitter is useless.I bought this together with a Petlibro fountain. It is nice that they run in the same app. The fountain works well, however I would avoid the feeder.

Bought this for feeding two cats. We tested quite extensively and every time the amount dispensed was wildly wrong. We were using Royal Canin kitten food which was within the specs of food it can handle. We wanted 30g per side but even telling it to dispense 90g we only got 30g in total combined.We could never trust it to dispense required amount.The unit looks smart and the idea is great. But not functional in real world application.

Estoy usando este comedero desde hace una semana aproximadamente.Fue fĆ”cil programarlo despuĆ©s de conseguir las instrucciones en espaƱol por internet.Estoy contenta con su funcionamiento, poco a poco los gatos se han ido acostumbrando.Quise probar como funcionarĆa con las baterĆas en caso de que se fuera la luz, lo desconectĆ© de la corriente elĆ©ctrica y al poco tiempo se apagĆ³ la pantalla led, siguiĆ³ funcionando pero con la pantalla led apagada, se encendĆa a la hora programada para dispensar la comida y luego se vuelve a apagar. No sabĆa si eso era normal.Me puse en contacto con el vendedor de PETLIBRO para aclararlo, me sorprendiĆ³ la excelente atenciĆ³n y la amabilidad con la que lo hicieron, me respondieron que es normal que la pantalla se apague 1 minuto despuĆ©s si no hay mĆ”s acciones mientras el alimentador funciona solo con baterĆas. I donāt usually immediately write reviews but I felt I must! (I will update after the kitties have used it for a while).My partner and I ordered a different automatic cat feeder to this from Amazon last week and it took all of 10 minutes for our greedy ragdolls to break it (albeit it was an awful design and super flimsy). We returned it and ordered this in the Prime Day deal and got a slight discount. It was Ā£3 dearer than the last one we bought.When it arrived, the packaging was impressive. It looks expensive from the onset. I was excited to see what the product looked like from the packaging alone. It comes wrapped appropriately and with both a user guide and a quick guide (very much needed when youāve got two chubby ragdolls at your feet, eyeing you up). It also came with stickers which was a nice touch.The product itself looks futuristic and expensive. It was easy to assemble using the quick guide and itās very well made. The part that clicks in to separate the food actually locks the bowl section into the base of the feeder (which wasnāt a feature on the last one we ordered, therefore the cats constantly knocked the bowls out and tipped the feeder).The feeder takes a large quantity of dry food (which will no doubt help avoid the cats knocking it over) and the portions are fair. We worked out the portions through pressing the manual automatic feed button and weighed out that one portion on the feeder is 10g, split into two portions equally is 5g each. My cats are supposed to be eating 50g a day and have 5 meals a day, so it was easy to work out that we would need 2 portions for each meal time to give them 10g each.The feeder set up was easy and didnāt take too long. It may have felt simpler to me because I felt I was figuring out the Divinci Code on the last feeder we ordered, which had small buttons and an awkward layout. This feeder is super simple, with touch screen and + and – buttons to work out the clock times and portion amount. The settings cog button is the enter button. This is explained in the quick guide.We set 5 meals for our cats, 4.30am, 9.30am, 2.30pm, 7.30pm and 11pm. There is an option to have up to 6 meal times. If not, you can leave this one with 0 in the portion option.The lid to seal the feeder comes with a packet that slots nicely into a filter area which helps minimise condensation inside the feeder, to avoid soft kitty food. The lid also seal locks, which not only helps keep the cats out of the food but also seals in the smell of their food so theyāre not obsessively sat next to it because of the smell. 10/10 feature!The touch screen has the ability to lock so that even if the cats are able to touch the screen, they are unable to edit the settings or get food out themselves. To unlock the feeder, it requires you to put your finger on the lock button for 3 seconds.Overall Iām thrilled with the automatic cat feeder for our two kitties and Iām sure itāll help get them into better feeding habits.(I will update if I come across any new info / pros / cons).
