Customers say
Customers find the RFID collar works well, with one mentioning it stops cats from fighting over food, and they appreciate its lightweight design and ease of pairing with feeders. However, the quality and size receive mixed feedback, with some finding it fantastic for multi-cat households while others note it’s not sized well for cats. Moreover, the material durability is concerning, with reports of the material fraying after a day of use. Additionally, customers report issues with tag retention and ease of adjustment.

Purr-fect Replacement for a Lost Tag!
This was a necessary purchase after one of my cats lost their original tag. This replacement PETLIBRO RFID Collar Tag works perfectly with my PLWF305 Smart Water Fountain. It was easy to pair with the app and immediately started tracking their drinking habits again. If you lose a tag, this replacement is exactly what you need.

Long story, but please read.
I have 2 cats. Bailey is a nibbler and eats small amounts at each feeding. My other cat is food greedy and would gobble anything left in Bailey’s dish if he took a break.Bailey would be sick for 3 days every month or so, and I had him at the vet’s often. It would begin with massive vomiting and he would be off his food for 3 days! His blood work showed that his liver enzymes would spike. I tried various kinds of prescription food but nothing changed. After buying a Petlibro for each of my cats, I learned from the app’s feeding record that Bailey was a nocturnal nibbler and couldn’t tolerate going all night without eating. Before the feeder, he would drink excessive amounts of water during the night to fill his stomach. This was making him sick. After buying a Petlibro for each of my cats, Bailey stopped throwing up for 3 days every month. He now eats small amounts of food every 2 hours all through the night, and the greedy cat can’t get to his bowl. This has changed Bailey’s (and my) life. The app that comes with the feeder is fabulous. Learn all the features and it will give you so much information about how your cats feed during the day.

Excellent Product for Food Thieves!
I have four cats and I decided to purchase these feeders to offer them āsnacksā in between their breakfast and dinner. It was not exactly ideal for everyone to be eating twice a day, 12 hours apart, so our veterinarian suggested automatic feeders. This was primarily to avoid BVS (bilious vomiting syndrome) in one of our cats. But, as any cat owner of multiples knows, you canāt just feed one cat without summoning the herd. Iāve had these feeders just short of two weeks and am loving the convenience and peace of mind knowing they will be fed additional meals throughout the day without having to be home or awake (they do get fed once at midnight to hold them to breakfast). The feeders themselves come mostly assembled are the stainless steel bowls are easy to clean. I do wish that the desiccants lasted longer than 2 weeks. The units must be plugged in to function but take D batteries that can be used as a backup if power is lost. Note that these are not required for assembly. While investing in four of these took a hefty chunk of change, I would say that they are well worth the money. I have two of them on hard flooring and two on carpet and have no preference as the food is dry and the customizable display is a nice feature. The app is very user friendly and the door that shuts on top of the bowl keeps my food thief away from her siblings food.

Wonderful for multiple cats, with different food or appetite.
These are absolutely amazing when you have to control portions for multiple cat. Just by being able to control my cats’ portions, my overweight cat is no longer overeating (lost a pound so far), and my other cat is free to graze throughout the day whenever he pleases. At first, one of my cat was terrified of the bowl, even though it’s not loud. After a few days putting food closer and closer to it, she got used to the noise and now is back to eating normally. The app setup and assembly are easy to do. You can set the time and number of portion dispensed. The overweight cat used to eat her food too quickly and then would vomit it immediately, so I feed her small portions, but more often. It comes with the cord and plug, and you may put batteries as a backup if you want, but it’s not necessary. I recommend these bowl if you have multiple cats with different food type or if one overeats.

Works as described (once you get it put in the system)
Works great. Only issue I had was the QR code was too small to scan and any phone I tried wouldnāt focus when you got close. The two fixes are either taking a picture with another phone and enlarging the picture, or you can enter the 6-digit code into a QR code generator and scan that larger QR code

Rfid tags work well
The rfid tags work well. However, we had to get replacement collars because the cats managed to get them off. Additionally one of the rfid tags came off the collar. Aside from that they do what theyāre supposed to. Weāre probably going to pull the tags from these collars and put them on reliable break away collars for safety. They may be indoor cats but they still get into trouble sometimes.

I got these after we added a new kitten to the family who wouldnāt stop eating our adults cat food and causing an upset stomach. I love this, itās easy to set up. The app is easy to use. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the fact that the āautomaticā feeder isnāt a when the food is low itās a set times on the app for dispensing food. This in itself isnāt horrible but my cats are not consistent eaters so some days this causes too much food resulting in a blockage and others I check the bowls and they are nearly empty.Overall, I would purchase again given this and other options on the market. The sensing collars work great and cleaning is easy. Being able to keep the food separated is keeping our cats healthy and fed. I think itās a good value for the money, but If youāre able to get it on sale Iād say hold out. Havenāt had any issues with it tipping or being wobbly, itās very sturdy.

We initially purchased this to replace some ageing “cat mate” feeders which the cat could easily break into & eat all the food in one go not to mention bat them so much the batteries could fall out.Enter the Petlibro.Initially I set it up to test it, ready for when we were next away, but found it so good we’ve taken to using it permanently. It comes with a USB-C plug-in mains adaptor & takes 3x D-size batteries as a backup. it is well made and I honestly think the cat would have a hard time breaking into it.The lid turns and locks into place tightly, the tank clips into the base tightly with large tabs. Make sure you push down enough to ensure both the tabs have clicked. The base is solid and weighty, helped even more once the batteries are fitted. I think it would be difficult for a cat to knock over.I set up her normal feeding times and to be honest I wish we’d purchased this much sooner – it now just sits there and does the job, no more measuring her food each day.I recommend filling the tank with your cat’s kibbles then pressing the feed-now button & weighing what’s dished out, from there you can make a decision of how much (how many portions) to feed each time. I repeated this several times and found it to be consistent. The trick is to test. A portion = the physical amount the very bottom well takes which equates to aprox 2.5 teaspoons or 20ml. In our case this equated to 8-9 grams per portion which is perfect.Set up is relatively simple, a mode button scrolls through setting the time and then each feeding time, number of portions, and whether to use the (gimmicky) voice recording feature. To be honest the whirr of the motor followed by the food arriving in the bowl launches our cat from zero to full speed in less than 2 seconds. She’s usually at the bowl before the feeder has finished playing my voice.Note that, oddly, it doesn’t feature the 24 hour clock or the ability to switch to it. It strictly uses the 12 hour clock format with AM/PM so pay attention when setting the clock and setting up the feeding times. 18:00 hours needs to be set up as “6:00 PM”, for example. Despite not being internet connected (or to my knowledge receiving the MSF radio clock signal) there seems to be no clock drift so far, but it’s only been running for a few weeks. All in all I’m very impressed so far, it’s been running for a few weeks without any issues. The real test will be how well it’s running in 6 months or a year’s time, but for now I would definitely recommend not just for when you’re away but as a regular automated cat feeder.

No problem with paring the tag with my machine. I just needed to change the loop for the collar to something that wonāt fall or come off easily; especially if pet rolls around a lot.

WE had a rotating feeder for when we went away that very quickly started only partially rotating and becoming untrustworthy. As it only had 5 compartments it also only allowed us to go away for a short time (our cat is a delight, but hasn’t learnt about portion control….). We got this so we could go away for more than a couple of nights, and not ahve to worry about whether the cat sitter could operate the feeder. This thing will happily feed our cat for weeks without interference – we use it as his everyday feeder, and because he now knows there’s another set of biscuits arriving regularly he has stopped pestering for food, and has got over his portion control issue.Others commented on the programming functions – I admit I went in without the manual and made a bit of a hash of it too. The manual is straightforward though, and once you understand it the thing is very straightforward. The most complicated thing is simply running the cycle a few times to measure the portion mass so you can set the right number of portions per day for your cat and food type. The only thing I would prefer is if the clock had a 24 hr display option rather than just 12 hr, but it’s a trivial issue.
