Great Product with Only One Fault
This is a great produce with only really 1 minor fault that I will touch on in a moment.Pros: Different prong depth can be inserted for dogs that have thicker fur versus shorter fur (only the medium size is shown in these photos). 3 different modes – beep, vibrate & shock. Adjustable collar. Rechargeable collar and hand device.Cons: The āsleep mode.ā There is no way to turn it (the sleep mode itself) off. So when youāre trying to do precise corrections or beep warnings for your dog it makes it very difficult to do. The sleep mode takes a few seconds to āwakeā the controller back up and by then the moment you originally needed it for is already past. Not easily used for precise command work.However, I have used this collar for a long time with my German Shepherd. I got him used to it by putting it on him right before we would go outside to play. For the entire first week I intentionally left the controller inside and just had him wear the collar so that he would be completely comfortable with it and he was. He would excitedly put it on because he knew it meant outside play time. I first used the beep function only and trained him to understand that when the collar beeped he had to look at me and give me his attention. It worked very well. I then introduced a low level vibrate and trained him to come to me when the collar would vibrate. Also worked very well to train him on a low level and only increase to a higher one when I had harder times getting his attention. The shock function itself was rarely used. Only in extreme circumstances, like the day he ran into the road after a squirrel. It was used to break his attention on what he was chasing, not to hurt him.Using the product was super simple. But I canāt stress enough that it should be used in conjunction with proper training so that the device actually means something to the dog. And always try to keep training positive! When the dog does whatās expected, then reward him. And let him get used to the feel of the collar before ever using any of the functions. My dog was never afraid of that collar ever, partly because we took the time to help him get used to it and gave him an understanding of what to do when the different functions were used. Basically, he knew what was expected of him because he was trained how to react when the different function were used.

First I want to start with the quality and performance of the product. Right out of the box the remote and collar feel great, great build quality and does not feel cheap at all, I charged it for about 30 minutes after I got it out of the box it and was at a full charge, Iām sure it had some juice still when I opened it. Easy to operate nothing really out of this world, switching through the many modes this collar has is very easy, just a push of a button. The sound is a beep that you can hear and It will definitely get your pets attention as well as the vibration feature. Of course I had to test the static shock on myself before using it on my dog and I must say this thing packs a shock, level 30 was enough for me to feel a sharp shock nothing I couldnāt handle but when I bumped it to 40 it definitely made me jump so go figure. I set mine at 40.Now my pet, As soon as the door opened to go outside he bolted and ran away, would not come when you called his name and if you tried to approach him and try to get him he would run even further, something I was tired of, I got the collar on him and he got zapped 2 times, he now knows his boundaries and for only having this collar for less than a week i can say it definitely helps and your pet will learn to not do whatever it is that will bring him a shock or beep, I now use the beep feature and he also knows what that means, I only go to the shock in case of emergencies but i havenāt had to use it since the first day, over all very happy with the product quality and price and would highly recommend it.

Works Well But Has A Small Design Flaw
This collar works, and it works reliably. I haven’t had any issues with it rain or shine, and it seems to handle a fair amount of distance fairly well. The dual charger they include is very convenient, and I find I rarely have to charge it. They even include two extra prongs so you can adjust for the length of your dogs coat.Now for the cons: the biggest downfall of this product is the design of the remote. Everything is digitalized on the screen, which means you cannot quickly and easily tell what setting you are on without turning on the remote and fidgeting with it for a few moments. This can make snap corrections difficult (I have been using it to dissuade my dog from chasing small animals, and you often only have a moment before the dog breaks out into a full on sprint). The remote will fall asleep after a certain period of time, which means you have to push any of the buttons at least once to turn the remote on before it will actually do anything. This also makes snap corrections difficult. Not only can my correction come too late, but it can happen on the wrong setting or even accidentally. You have to be careful with just having it attached to your belt as well, since the buttons tend to stick out and may get pressed unknowingly. For these faults the product gets four stars instead of five.Even with all that, I still very much like the collar and use it on a day to day basis. I find the vibration setting set above fifty is more effective than any low level shock, though that might just be because my dog is so hard headed (she is a Doberman- few things get under her skin!). I would not recommend ever shocking your dog at level 100- if you’re using this collar correctly, you should barely need a fourth of that. I rarely go into the shock setting as a high level vibration is often more than enough to get my dog’s attention and break her from the chase, which is all you want and all you need. If you are hurting your dog, you are not using it properly.It’s a good deal for the price and the waterproof aspect is very important since I live in rainy Seattle. If you’re looking for something convenient for at home training then I would say go for it, it has done wonders for me. If you need something for those snap corrections, you may want to look elsewhere.Overall, a good product. I don’t regret my purchase.

So far so good – all elements work as described. I’m glad I got the updated version wit h the BLUE buttons, as they are easy to see. Not sure I’d like the other version with black buttons..hard to see. Distance works; I especially like the guide with hints/tips for training/using product. I will know more in time…in terms of hoping the button fonts will not fade off etc . But I think it seems like a good product. Just got it, still trying it out. So far seems to work but my dog is also very stubborn! LOL I’m confident/hopeful this product will result in some positive outcomes. I like the fact you don’t have to go right to SHOCK! You can use the ‘alarm’ or the ‘vibrate’ and then shock if you need to …and…you can control the level of vibration or shock. Great! Also, I like that it came with long/short prongs, and a spare set. So far I recommend this product.

The Petrainer was good for a week. But after that it stopped working. It cost. Rs 8010. Messaging Amazon & the sellers. But each one puts the responsibility on the other. Nothing is being done about it. I need a replacement. I bought it thru Amazon. So Amazon itās your responsibility to replace it.Kindly respond as soon as possible

This can be used properly with respect for your animal to stop them from leaving your yard or fenced kn area, the shock is powerfull and you only need to use it once or twice to set the perameters of the yard if you use it correctly. This product saved me from having to get rid of my family dog. So I am glad it exisists also you can train your dog to go on walks off leash in appropriate areas with it. It gives them a lot of freedom they love it

This is the second training collar I’ve owned, and the better one although the first one was a well known brand.This unit works flawlessly. It has a variety of settings such as tone, selectable vibrate, and mild shock which has variable levels. It uses built-in rechargeable battery that hold their charge a long time and a charger that charges the collar and remote together quickly. It even has a built in led light – handy. It has a very long transmitting range so if poochy does wander off, you can call him home wherever he is in the neighborhood. Great quality! DWSmith

First of all I’d like to say DO NOT follow the training instructions that come with this product. It suggest that you hold the stimulation button and give a command to your dog and stop stimulation when your dog performs the command. This is complete bs. I’ve worked as a professional dog trainer and I can tell you that doing that will only teach your dog to associate the command with the stimulation. This collar is only to be used to correct a behaivour. I only recommend the vibration setting to be used when your dog does unwanted behaviour. The vibration will snap your dog out of it and that is good enough to teach your dog.Secondly, I’d like to say that this product comes with a power saving option for the receiver that is not changable. After 4 minutes of inactivity the receiver will shut off. In the instructions it says that it will turn back on with “any” dog movement however it is not true. You would think that your dog getting up from a down position would be enough or even walking around. But that is not the case. I either have to press the power button or shake the collar intensely for it to come back on. I am using the collar to teach my dog not to approach guests for example. She wears it when someone is at my house. For the most part she lays on her bed but every now and then she gets up to approach the guest. This is when I would want to use the vibration to show her that is unwanted behaviour. But if the collar has shut off and doesn’t turn back on with “any” movement then what is the point?Bottom line: I definitely do not recommend purchasing this product.
