Maintaining a clean litter box is a top priority. This litter is wonderful, although more expensive than regular kitty litter. I started using PetSafe ScoopFree Premium Crystal Cat Litter several years ago when I had the automated PetSafe Litter Box. 6 months ago I advanced to the Whiskers Litter-Robot 4. I could not find any information on using PetSaafe crystals in the litter-robot, so I tried it. it works perfectly!The crystal litter technology is great! Instead of dealing with clumping clay or dusty pellets, the ScoopFree litter utilizes highly absorbent crystal beads that efficiently lock in moisture and odors and the crystals are virtually dust-free, making it safer. There’s no scooping required. The automatic drum turns and dumps the waste into a covered compartment, leaving the litter box clean and odor-free for weeks at a time. This has been wonderful convience for me. I just pull out the waste drawer and throw the sack of waste away every few days. After 4 weeks, I press the empty button and dump all the old litter into the sack in the waste drawer, throw it away and put in new crystal litter. Because the drum empties the waste periodically throughout each day, the litter does get a little low and so do add some extra litter to the existing litter a couple times a month.I highly recommend the PetSafe ScoopFree Premium Crystal Cat Litter. Great Natural Option – Be Ready for Dust!
I absolutely love that this litter is made from diatomaceous earth, it’s a much more natural and healthier option than some of the other products on the market and it makes me feel good about using it for my cats. It clumps well, which makes cleaning super easy.The only big downside is that it doesn’t cover up smells. The first time my cat used it I had to sift it immediately because the smell was strong. It was pretty dusty when I first poured it, but thankfully there were no tracks left on our hardwood floors.While this may seem like a negative review, this litter may have actually saved me from having to rehome one of my cats. He is very sent averse and hardly uses the box, but since starting to use this litter he has used the box consistently every day. It could also be a texture issue for him, but since I can’t talk and ask I am definitely sticking with this litter from now on.

Too dusty!!!
I really wanted to love this cat litter because it’s diatomaceous earth, which is used for pest control (fleas, tics, ants, roaches, bed bugs, gnats, etc). However, diatomaceous earth dust is horrible for your respiratory system and your cat’s. Cat’s don’t know to not breathe in the dust or to stay away from it. You can see the huge dust cloud it makes when pouring in my first video. And the layer of dust it left on the litter box in my last photo.I’m also not impressed with the amount of tracking that’s occurring. You can see all of the pebbles in the anti-tracking mat on the floor in the 2nd picture.We have 3 cats using one Whisker Litter Robot 4 and have been using this litter since Monday. I’m not noticing much smell, but the smell from non-clumping litter normally comes from absorbing the urine after a couple weeks. I’m happy to come back and give this product an extra star if there’s no smell in 2 weeks and if I don’t have to add a bunch of extra litter. The price for 8 pounds of litter is astronomical, so if it holds up then I’ll change my review.

I have one elderly cat with dilute pee and somehow this litter STILL manages to absolutely reek after 6 days of use, even with the recommended “stirring” to mix it together for better absorption. Sorry, but if I’m paying $41 for what equates to 2 weeks of litter, it should be stirring itself.Absolutely not buying this again, moving to the poowee brand which is a lot cheaper, bigger bags and has much better reviews. Gave it a real go for a few months but it’s just not living up to its promises.

Have a cat box in my bedroom for my daughter when she comes to visit. I can’t even smell that a cat has been here when she comes. I don’t have to change it every time. It seems to dry the poop right out so it’s easy to scoop and dispose of. Better than clumping cat litter and the awful clay smell

I liked disposable trays but the litter wasn’t lasting long enough. I bought this and have started using anew brand of litter that is half tge price while lasting the full 30+ days.I recommend it. Super easy to use and compatible

I was using other crystals before which the cats did not like.They cats don’t seem to love this one either. The sometimes use the litter box and other times poop on the floor in front of it. If you have picky cats it may not work
