Works with 5 year old Petsafe Stay and Play wireless fence.
Works great with my Petsafe Stay and Play wireless fence. I like the battery after what happened with my rechargeable collars. The rechargeable receiver wireless fence collars that came with the fence broke after a few years.Unfortunately the plastic cracked on both of them. I checked them before putting them on all the time. The first one cracked from the post to a corner. Second one cracked while my Boone dog was wearing it outside. It malfunctioned when it broke and he came yelping to the door. It was shocking him for no reason. I took it off and saw it was cracked and leaking acid. Checked the dog and cleaned off his neck with baking soda poultice to neutralize it but he was already burned by the acid. Trip to vet and after healing he is fine but I needed new collars and didn’t want to have that happen again! I had to get him a harness to wear while healing and he had to go out on a line so he wouldn’t go visiting.He and his sister love to play outside and there are no fences where we live. Too much snow in winter. I found this one that has the batteries and it said it is good for all the wireless fences Petsafe makes. It works really great and I don’t have to worry about the acid. Buying more batteries on Amazon cheap because it ran out. Battery lasted a long time. Even with dead battery Boone dog stays in the boundries when the collar is on him.I don’t want to tempt him though. The squirrels are out of their winter holes already and that will test his will to stay inside the wireless perimeter. Can’t blame him for that! Pic is of them outside in the snow. The poles sticking out of the snow are for the bow gate on my 5 ft high horse panels and the snow is more than 5 feet deep where the dogs are standing. The horses are on a farm in the lowlands in the winter. Too much snow for them here.

Replaceable battery makes this product superior.
This is our second wireless pet fence collar. The first was PetSafe Stay + Play Wireless Fence Receiver Collar and it had a built in rechargeable battery. I do not recommend that product! It got muddy and stopped working, and with no way to replace battery it only lasted a few months total until it could no longer hold a charge more than a few hours. This one however has been an entirely better experience and I recommend this product. It uses REMOVABLE and replaceable batteries and the batteries are very affordable considering we have averaged 2 months for each. This product works with the same base/transmitter as the other collar so it was a simple matter of switching out the collars.I recommend getting a pack of the batteries as that should be cheaper and more convenient than buying them one or two at a time.We remove the collar and turn it off at night when our dog stays in the house, and replace it every morning before she goes out. It works great, and allows our german shephard/husky mix to roam and run in our yard and have plenty of room to play. The main reasons we purchased the wireless pet fence was to keep our pooch out of the roads that are near our home. It has proven effective and safe and has kept our dog safe for over a year now. She stays off of our neighbors property and never leaves our yard unless we remove the collar for a walk or ride. Do yourself a favor and get the one with the replaceable battery.

Great Product , Amazing Customer Service !!!
This wireless dog fence works great. I am using 2 transmitters and one dog is trained on it now. I just ordered another collar for my other dog. Both collars go off at the same distance. No need to adjust flags. I have to tell you that I have never experienced better customer service from a company before. I have called a couple of times to get help and to troubleshoot with one of my receivers, and they did what they had to do to fix the problem and with a smile on their face. A+ customer service.P.S. Please follow there instructions and don’t just put the collar on and set dogs loose in the beginning. They will not know what the flags mean without training and you will freak them out. Watch The Training Videos!!Update:Almost a year later the whole system is still working great. The dogs fully understand the boundaries and won’t even chase the UPS truck past the boundary. Training is the key, follow the instructions that PetSafe gives you. I have three transmitters overlapping for a large property and have two dogs on collars. I put each one of my transmitters on an Alexa smart plug so I can just tell Alexa to turn everything off at night when I’m not using it and I just turn it back on in the morning and it works perfect. 2nd collar, same review
This is my 2nd time purchasing this collar.When the first collar arrived the battery was practically dead. It made it impossible to set up the flags. I have experience with the system so I knew it was the battery. I ordered new ones and once installed the collar works great!My Chihuahua is enjoying her new found freedom.I just wish the claim of including a battery meant it was a WORKING battery!This 2nd collar also has a dead battery. Now I will have to wait until I can get new battery start my 2nd dog’s training. Not happy. 😫

Can’t speak to battery life just yet but we did pick up a couple extras so we’re covered. Using this for two dogs and thus far the results have been remarkable. Had it in place about a month or so and both dogs picked up very quickly on the perimeter with very little training. We have an acreage with a lot of space but also are on a highway so had to adjust the distance somewhat tighter than we’d like but it works. Had one situation where one collar went off repeatedly in the house while I was using a saw to cut metal that may have somehow sent a frequency or signal – IDK. Only happened once. Only other minor issue is the collars do seem to shut off after a few days or something so check them frequently. I know the manual says never to leave on for more than 12 hours but that’s not always very practical. All in all we love it – it’s working keeping our dogs safe from the highway and was a lot less expensive and complicated than a wired underground fence. Highly recommend.

Ordered in July, battery died within a month so I ordered batteries and changed it. As of November the collars both dont work properly anymore, neither will beep or stim anymore. Absolutely useless. Very disappointed
