Not the greatest design
The machine works if you can overlook the fact that the screw for the feeder keeps coming undone and food gets jammed in there and it won’t turn. Doesn’t matter if you put a little food or a lot it still does it. It’s a lot of money for something that I have to stand there and keep fixing. Not really worth it. I’d have spent a little more on the better treat and train.

Remote Controller broke within a few months and replacement is not available!
This is a great training tool for agility and obedience, and we have been using it for many years.But it has problem with Remote Controller. Again, the remote controller broke, unfortunately only within a few months after purchased a new set. As no replacement remote controller is available, we cannot use it any more. The manufacturer should sell replacement remote, because it breaks so frequently. The original Sophia Yin’s model had the same issue with remote. That is why we cannot find a single replacement remote controller in the whole world! Believe me, it is completely out of stock.I am training a young dog. It is totally absurd but I guess I have to get a new complete set – I end up with three main machine with one remote controller, LOL!This time I will get the original Sophia Yin’s model, which was better designed especially for large breeds.And I will copy the remote controller with programmable remote IF the manufacturer does note sell the replacement remote. I do not want to get another totally new set in a few months!!! If Pet Safe is a responsible manufacturer, you should sell replacement remote controller. There are so many people looking for the remote.

Bulky but does the job
For the price of this, I would have the expectation that it wouldn’t break right out of the box but mine did when I pulled it out of the box. Thankfully, my dog hasn’t had interest in trying to lift the lid herself yet.Outside of the semi-fragile nature of the product, it has been doing the job well and I’ve been impressed with the distance I can get so far with the remote still triggering treat dispensing. I bought this for barn dog training, as my dog gets reactive when horses canter. As I’m the one typically working the horses solo, training both at the same time gets difficult so the remote treat dispenser has been working great as a redirect conditioning tool to start getting her calmer.I also really appreciate that I can turn off the beep as my dog knows beep is a warning signal because she’s doing something bad. Plus, the noise of the spinning wheel is loud enough that she hears the treats drop.

Kind of pricey
Definitely read or watch suggestions for training. I started out without reading or watching anything and found my dog did not like the alert tone. I believe she associates it with her bark collar and was reluctant to respond to it. After I turned the tone off, we progressed more. I will keep working with her. I didn’t pull the food tray out and the food got jammed in it. It was very easy to put together. Things are much easier if you read first. I feel like it is quite expensive for what it does. I would not pay $189.00 for this!

The older Treat & Train (Sophia Yin’s version) did not have any sound delay and the design was so much better for that one!!

Great quality
We’re using this to train my best friend’s dog. Haven’t had a lot of time to try it out, but it is really great quality! It feels very sturdy and the brand is reputable. It’s big enough to hold tons of treats and it has two different sized disks to release the treats so you can put big or small treats inside.
