Amazing product
This product is amazing. My dog absolutely loves them. I crumble them into his food, add some water and he loves it t. I have also put the whole nugget into a Kong and he spends a good amount of time trying to get out. I strongly suggest! It’s a bit pricey, but worth it.

High protein content
Wonderful product! Awesome ingredients! My dog has lymphoma and needs a high protein, low carb diet. This is perfect! And my dog loves the taste! She gobbles it right up!

Worth the money because I see the improvements in my dogs!
My dogs love this food. I have noticed an improvement in my older dog’s energy and overall demeanor. I still feed them a high quality kibble and fresh veggies, but this has been a great add in for one of their meals. I have 2 golden retrievers both over 50 lbs. I give them 3 “bricks” with their kibble each morning. It’s been an easy transition and the improvement has been worth the extra money.

Bricks are really hard in recent product deliveries
Love the product – my dog is 11 and this is all she’s ever eaten. I am concerned however that the product formula has changed and that the bricks are now extremely hard to break apart. I hope it doesn’t affect her digestion and good health in the long run. She has done well and is healthy and happy- I would hate to think that a change in this wonderful formula would be the cause.

Updating my review to 5 stars
I’m editing from 1 star to 5.m stars. Primal wrote me and after taking the time to explain that they realize they’re having customer service issues and that the changes in color is because of the change in ingredients to more chicken liver vs sardines and sure enough every batch with the darker color lists chicken liver as the second ingredient instead of sardine. this made me feel relieved that the change isn’t due to quality issues which they assured me wasn’t the case. My dog warmed up to both flavors profiles and primal Also said they’re putting new things in place for consistency. my 12 year old Shih Tzu has more energy than ever. She looks like a puppy and someone who hadn’t seen her in 6 months said her hair was shiny and glowing and was asking what I was doing. My fur baby Is a a rescue – she doesn’t like homemade food and this is the only food (aside from roasted chicken) that she eats happily.Previous review: Primal is having a serious consistency issue. Im adding this to my review after reading that I’m not the only one. For those who liked it, it’s not the new bags and a change in recipe. I have received old GOOD bags and New Good bags- and a few bad batches with that horrid smell and orange turmeric color from BOTH old and new batches. I emailed them because 6 bags including also from Chewy.com) of the bags of the Sardine Turkey and Chicken are as another reviewer describes – bright orange (instead of light beige) and smells different. My dog who loved that flavor wiill not it. I didn’t get a reply so I DMd them on instagram and they at least replied that they are having cusomer service issues AND consistency on the quality issues that they plan to fix. They asked for my email. I’m waiting to hear more. I’m on here because Unfortunately my very picky rescue will only eat this flavor (but the normal beige ones not the bad bags) but obviously if this continues we’re going to have to go back to soemthing else. I just wish others would also review this when it’s inconsistent (there are some reviews here and on chewy.com so that the company can fix this issue or issue some kind of statement). I don’t think they changed the recipe since my new design bags some of them have been the original recipe. Quality control issues for sure. Please DM them on Instagram and ask them to figure it out! And maybe release a statement!

SEEMS LIKE A GOOD FOOD SOURCE BUT HOW WILL I AFFORD IT?
PRO’s and CON’s have left me indecisive.PROS: 1) My Dogs LOVE it!2) No issues with digestion3) Clean ingredients, very health alternative to current “organic” dog food.CONS: 1) These squares are hard like bricks and you must break them down in bite size pieces with your hands, which is quite difficult especially with arthritis2) There isn’t any direction provided on how many bricks are a serving based on animals weight or age3) No Serving Sizes offered on the internet or packaging. I don’t know if I am meeting my dog’s needs. I have large Yorkie and a Small Chihuahua and I am “winging it”, since there is no guidance4) No mention of the total number of “bricks” in a package. Will this last two weeks? A month? I am clueless.5) Cost seems very high for the quantity given, a friend encouraged me to give this a try and I don’t know if my budget will allow me to buy the quantity needed. At this point, I have had them on this diet for 8 days and still feeding wet dog food (which is on the high end as well) because I have no idea if I can buy more.I think the cost is pretty ridiculously prohibitive, now that I actually have received the package. I suspect that I can use a freshly prepared delivery service for comparable price, who knows maybe it will be even less expensive? I honestly don’t know. If I need a new bag in under 4 weeks, I’m going to look into other options. The cost for my food is hard enough to cover anymore.I do believe feeding healthier leads to longer life and lower medical bills, so this is going to be a hard decision.

Good quality – Tough bricks we have to break up small and hydrate well for our old guy since he has minimal teeth…but he enjoys it and no foodallergies!

I have two wonderful Lakeland Terriers. Lily Astrid 11 years old (named after Warren Buffett’s second wife) and Oliver Buffett 3 years old. Lily is extremely picky, OlieBee much less so. Lily accepts to eat Primal Nuggets without complaining. I am glad that Primal Nuggets is her brand.
