A little expensive
This baggie is quite small for the price, which is why I’m taking off a star. (This is more expensive than other Purina Pro formulas.) I’m getting this for my kitty who struggles with her weight. I’m not sure if she likes it yet but she’s liked Purina Pro in the past and it comes recommended from our vet!

It’s a good cat food
I bought this for my fatcat. The other two cats loved it, too, so I now feed all of them this product. I asked the vet if it was okay to use for all my cats, and he said, “Yes, it’s for weight management, so they can all eat it.” My fatcat has lost two pounds. It has taken about a year, but I can’t even lose two pounds at any time, so I am really pleased with the outcome.

Wish I had switched to this earlier!
My 6 year old spayed indoor cat is quite lazy and refuses to eat anything but dry kibble. She gained a few pounds above her ideal weight, so 2 years ago, her vet switched her from her usual Purina Indoor Cat Chow to Hills Prescription Diet Metabolic Weight Management. She was on this very expensive prescription food for about 18 months. In this period, she gained another lb despite having a strictly metered automatic feeder schedule. I ran into difficulty getting the prescription food this fall, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and switch her food to Purina Pro Plan Weight Management. I read a lot of reviews before I decided to switch & really appreciated all of the insight from others. I was able to slowly make the switch per recommendations on the packaging. In just 3 months, I have noticed a drastic improvement in my cat’s coat condition. She didn’t have her usual silky sheen and seemed to shed a lot more. I thought it was just because she was getting older, but her coat definitely looks and feels so much better now. She seems to be more sated with this kibble, and doesn’t beg for more food like she did on the Hill’s diet. I have also noticed that she does not appear to be quite as heavy and is starting to lean out a bit. She won’t tolerate being weighed at home, so I will have to wait a few months until her next checkup to see how she is doing. Her energy level is good and she seems to be thriving. I wish that I had switched her food sooner! I got a discount by choosing auto ship and I appreciated getting an email reminder before it was time for my second order was to ship so that I could make some changes to the shipping frequency. It is so convenient to have it delivered.

I’ve always found Purina cat food to be of excellent quality, but I’ve noticed that the price has been increasing significantly over the past few months. It’s becoming quite unreasonable. I hope they reconsider their pricing strategy while maintaining their product quality.
