The PuroAir 240 HEPA Air Purifier for Home-Large Rooms worked very well for my space. I noticed a distinct difference in my air quality after about a week of consistent use. I have allergies to dust, and my house is normally very dusty, no matter how often I dust surfaces. Since purchasing this air purifier and changing my furnace filter regularly, I’ve seen improvement in the air quality in my home. The sound of this PuroAir 240 HEPA Air Filter is noticeable when it’s on, and it gets a little louder when bad air quality is detected (ex. smoking and burning smells when cooking). The sound isn’t too loud, and the noise level is tolerable. There is a sleep mode that operates quietly if you’d like to use it in a bedroom. Nice, quiet, automatic, start and forget until filter light start flashing, chance and good to go again… (i have one older) Filters. PuroAir sticker make filters cost lot, same filters without it is under half of price… Clean air nicely. automatic chance fan speed when need… Basically really start and forget machine in good way.

Helps but won’t eliminate cat odor
I’m still on the fence about how much I like these. It’s a good non-obnoxious size for the square feet it covers. I mainly got it to help with my 100sqft room where I’m fostering a mom cat and her kittens. Kitten food and a litter box shared by 4 cats in this room size can be overwhelming. It definitely is better than nothing but does not eliminate odors like I expected for only asking it to perform in such a small area. It’s fairly quiet except the high setting. It has all the options you’d need as far as timing and auto mode etc. I have to assume the air quality is better since it has a high end filter. For the price I think it’s a good buy. My mom let me borrow her GT-3000 air purifier which took away the smell of litter boxes for 4 cats in our large basement within 2 hours. Not even on max level but it’s $1000. So you get what you pay for.

These units are very quiet and I love that it has a timer so you can’t set it for 2, 4, 6 & 8 hrs. They also look good and are not too big. My allergies are much better. I put one upstairs and downstairs.

Noticeably better than a name brand air purifier that I’ve had in my home for years.
I purchased one of these and as a test kept it running on one side of my room, with a different brand of air purifier that I already own running on the opposite side of my room (with a brand new air filter in that one too to keep this test fair). Because of my dust allergies I dust multiple times a week and I dusted my entire room beforehand to observe the accumulation of dust with this air purifier running.The side of my room with this PuroAir purifier in it had noticeably less dust on surfaces than the other side of my room, which has a more expensive, more “name brand” air purifier that is supposed to help keep dust and air pollutants at bay. I observed this after only two days where I still didn’t see any visual dust on the PuroAir side of the room, and twice as much dust on the other side of the room already that had the other air purifier running.The air in my room feels fresher but visually it’s quite obvious that this purifier is removing more dust, pet dander, and air pollutants than the other purifier that I’ve owned for years. Depending on durability I will likely be purchasing the larger PuroAir purifier in the near future for the larger living area in my house, based on the overall performance of the Puroair 240 thus far. I purchased this when it was on sale and I am happy with the purchase so far. Setup and assembly was also very simple and easy.

I have it in a very small bedroom but I do have three large dogs, a German Shepherd, a doodle and a golden retriever and within 2 weeks you could tell the filter is full of dirt. Not sure if it’d be effective in my living room given that in my bedroom it’s filled up the filter so quickly.

The product is lightweight cheap plastic. The company ship to the UK yet the device requires a voltage step-down unit to cope with the 110V rated USA device. Company either dumb or dishonest. Factor in additional £50-100 for device to step down UK 240V. So far not seen source for replacement HEPA filters on Amazon either.
