So I know that these are marketed for birds but it is the prefect for 3-6 week old kittens. The material is a soft fleece so it will soak up liquid like water or canned food. However, it is light weight enough for little mini kittens to move about without having too much trouble.

ineffective with an african grey
got the small size which fits the neck fine. it’s fanned outward from the neck over the head. now the bird was somewhat used to the restriction as we also use a heavy duty protector that covers most of the body. still, it’s only took a few hours for the bowtie to get gone and within minutes, so was the protector.now in fairness, the african grey is not mentioned but while the small neck size works, the product needs to be at least 2.5 times the length but then it can only be attached inwards. very stressful trying to correct this behavior.

Works for kittens
I ordered these for our vet’s office, as it’s “kitten season” and their littlest patients sometimes need a means to prevent them from biting at IVs or bandages. The fact that these are offered in a variety of bright colors is a bonus.

Cute Bird cones to avoid plucking
This is a four pack of a cone like piece of clothing that can be added like a collar around the neck of your bird to try to help keep them from plucking out their feathers. I got this for a parrot that lives with my nanna and pappa. the bird is very very bored and lonely. I got toys for it but wanted to give its body a chance to hopefully grow back some of the feathers. Now I have to trust that my nana and papa will actually put these on the bird on a constant basis. There are four so if one gets soiled they can wash it and add a different one on ther. They are cute and come with a velcro keep it closed. I do wish it was a snap but the velcro should be okay if you dont have a very smart bird. I think this will be fine for this one for awhile but it may chew it off eventually. They are made of a light weight felt material but will do a decent job I think. and they are cute.

These are cute little capes that can be used as feather picking cones. They are just made of fleece material and come in a set of four colors. The little bows are not stitched on, just glued, so my little ‘tiel quickly ripped off the bow.
