Great to protect older folks thinning skin
I searched for awhile trying to find something to protect my shoulder. Iām getting up on years and my macawās claws tear my thinning skin up. This works perfectly for me. Easy on, easy off. Comfortable. Her nails do not puncture the material and she is quite comfortable perching on it too. This was a good purchase decision. And the price is reasonable.

This accessory works well, and our parrot liked the toys
Our parrot comes out to the kitchen for breakfast every day, and when she goes to my wife’s shoulder, she scratches her skin, drops crumbs down her back, wipes her beak on my wife’s clothes, and tries to chew the eyeglasses strap (she’s already broken several).This accessory prevents all that for a very low price. Also, I was surprised to find that our parrot enjoyed playing with the hanging toy (a bonus, to be sure). For me, this was money well spent.

A real problem solver.
My sun conure is a “velcro bird” who wants to be on my shoulder every minute of the day. I love having her with me until she gets bored and starts chewing on me or my clothing. I have tried wearing an oversized shirt but that does little to save my skin from scratching and bites. This solves all my problems. It has hooks for toys so she doesn’t get bored, and covers my clothing easily and comfortably.

Easy to put on
This is really made for a medium to a larger bird because the fabric is a little slick and my budgie has a time hanging on. However, it is easy to put on my shoulders and has a nice velcro fastener. Included is a ring of jingle bells and I just put a cat toy on the other side for her to gnaw on. When I’m in bed is when I use this the most because I’m not moving around and it protects my pillow.

Hamlet loves this.
My parrot Hamlet loves this because he loves to get on my shoulder and ride around with Me, it is a blessing because he can hang on and not slide off and I dont have to worry about what I can wear so he can ride around with out getting his claws hung up on my sweaters, IT IS WONDERFUL. I want to buy another one so I can clean one and still have an extra one.

A little strange looking, sure, but very functional
If you own a bird, you know how messy they can be. Whether the mess is stuck to their feet or beak or relentlessly shooting from their behind, it’s enough to dirty up a shirt or top in a matter of minutes. This shoulder protector keeps my shirt clean while my parrot rides along on my shoulder, and even includes spots to attach toys or snacks! Sure, it looks a little strange because you’re the only one wearing one, but again, if you’re a bird owner you understand. Cleans up pretty easily and provides good traction for my little feathered friend.
