Customers say

Customers find the herding ball to be of good quality and a fun way to exercise their dogs. However, the durability receives mixed feedback – while some say it’s durable, others report it’s not. Moreover, the air retention is problematic as it doesn’t hold air properly, and the size is criticized for the cover being too large. Additionally, the zipper quality and ease of maintenance receive negative feedback, with one customer noting it’s very difficult to remove. Value for money is also mixed, with some finding it worth the investment while others consider it expensive.

Ball is the best Investment ever!
I give this 5 stars only for the ball and cover. The included pump (cheap and pathetic) will take you at least 2 weeks, if not a month to fill. You absolutely need an air compressor or take to a gas station air pump or an air mattress pump as the last alternative! Lucky for me we do have an air compressor! It did not take long for the dogs to enjoy. Read directions, check daily, fill as needed. Do not let them bite at it. Teach them like it says.I have the German Shepherd and Doberman Mix. It would not let me download both videos of each of them playing or them playing together! Sad. So only a pic of Dobe.Absolutely, awesome for my dogs! Thank you! Well, worth the investment!

    Overpriced zipper is garbage
Great tool however first purchase lasted 2 weeks zipper broke dog punctured ball. 2nd purchase 2 days in zipper broke. Company falsely advertises the product as indestructible they show on their site and under inflated ball next to a bull dog but state to keep the ball inflated so the cover is tight. They will not refund charge double the price I suggest to try a cheaper in price version. That way your not out $200 for something that isn’t worth the money.

    Best Investment Ever
My dog (border collie blue heeler mix) has had this ball for over a year now. I am really surprised it has not popped yet. I highly recommend this for any hyperactive dogs, it’s such good stimulation and great to tire them out. I will say, some of the bad reviews I saw I think was because people were getting to small of a ball. I recommend getting one that is BIGGER than your dog. This makes sure that they can’t get their mouth fully around it to bite it. The fabric cover did rip a little bit but nothing that has really affected the overall quality. Best investment I have ever made for my dog, it’s super easy to just put it out in my yard and let him go crazy. Definitely his favorite toy

Cheap zipper on an expensive dog toy
First off, I can’t speak to the quality or durability of the ball itself because my dog never got to play with it. The quality of the pump included with the ball is dead awful; very cheap, thin plastic, and the hose sprung a leak within minutes, so pumping enough air into the ball was a huge hassle. That said, I followed the instructions provided, with the pump provided because I’m not going to spend money on an air pump I’m literally only ever going to use for this one thing when I’ve already paid a premium price for this glorified dog toy. I followed the instructions, zipped the cover up as far as the hose would allow once the ball was about 3/4 inflated, pumped the ball up the rest of the way… and then could. Not. Get the dang zipper to close the rest of the way.And then, wouldn’t you know it – the zip just snapped right off. Literally, the zip snapped in half.So now I’ve got an $80 ball, fully inflated because I can’t get the stupid stopper back out, and I can’t let my dog play with it because I won’t risk his teeth or claws getting caught in the wide-open zipper.Supremely disappointed that this otherwise sturdy-feeling ball apparently cheaped out on the most important part.

This seems to be a very good product
I had some issues with the inflating the ball correctly. When I first got it, I just started inflating it. I did not realize that you need to put the deflated ball in the case before inflating it. So I had to take out all of the air, and fold it flat again to get it into it’s case. Then, when I thought it was inflated, the case seemed to be too loose. I sent a message to the seller, and they told me the ball should be between 2 and 3 PSI. I have it now at 2.5 PSI and the case seems perfect now. The zipper should mostly be closed when you get the ball close to 2 or 3 psi. Otherwise you cannot zip it closed. Now to get the dogs to start playing with it.

    Didn’t last long
My german shepherd loved playing with this ball, until it busted. I’m sad because she would get so tired from playing and it was stimulating for her too. We made sure we inflated it everything time she played, but unfortunately, a small rip turned to a bigger one quickly. I used the patch and didn’t do anything. I feel that for the high price, this ball should be more durable. It only lasted 3 months. I should’ve paid more attention to the bad reviews.

    Excellent for Training
Durable quality and worth the purchase. Our only complaint is that the cover of the ball is to large. The rubber ball is sturdy and can endure ex-large German Shepherd playfulness, but the ball does not inflate large enough for the cover to securely fit around it.

    Would not hold air
The inner ball has numerous slow leaks along much of the equatorial seam. It’s nice that they include patches but they don’t work on this particular failure. I have another such item that does not leak. These large balls are much easier to fill with an air compressor than with the included cheapo pump (an ordinary dusting attachment works well). I’d rather not have to pay for the pump in the package, I already have several…—–Edit—–I got a replacement ball, this one lasted about 60 seconds. I don’t see why these balls can’t be properly designed. I doubt that there is great deal of test (if any) put into this product. It’s a shame since my puppy loves to play with it. I had pumped it up and let it sit for 2 days to show that it would hold air before trying it, then after 60 seconds of play, it began losing air. This is not adequate.
