VERY IMPRESSIVE PET GROOMING KIT WITH VACUUM
Every component of this pet grooming kit easily snap-fit and worked together perfectly. It is exactly as advertised, and that is important. The whole kit is very professional. We are using it on our cat, who is used to grooming daily with a simple brush, which results in clumps of fur drifting around and needing cleanup. The vacuum feature is great. (See our experience with it below.) The vacuum noise has 3 levels based on the suction power selected: low suction hum, louder, noisy. I expect most dogs will tolerate the sound with little or no problems, but high-strung dogs, cats and other small furry critters are a different matter. The vacuum can be easily disassembled and cleaned and has an internal filter. I am very pleased with this kit. The quality and design are excellent.NOTES: The kit includes a crevice tool – called a “nozzle” – that can be used for small, DRY, miscellaneous cleanup (pet hair in sofa crevices or in corners). There are two tools for removing pet hair from clothes or furniture. The vacuum filters can be cleaned with water, then must dry before re-installation. The only thing missing in the pet grooming kit is a nail/claw trimmer – but that is not designated as an included tool. A good instruction sheet is included.Shhhh – I trim my own head hair and beard to short lengths and then must clean up lots of hair on the counter, floor and my shoulders. I plan on using the trimmer and guide combs on myself (smiles) – the vacuum will eliminate the cleanup step. PS: The trimmer has an electrical connection to the vacuum hose – no batteries needed.Our Experience with Our Cat:On day 1, we started with a grooming brush linked to the vacuum, but when we turned on the vacuum at the lowest speed, the cat freaked out, ran to the basement and hid. Not unexpected. We have had this groomer kit for 11 days and each day we have switched to a gradual introduction to the kit tools. Day 2-5 – we just used the grooming brush. Day 6-9 – we attached the vacuum hose to the brush. Day 10-(this review date) – we attached the vacuum hose to the vacuum and left it inactivated on the grooming table. So far, the cat has accepted all of the paraphernalia as part of the grooming process with lots of soothing talk and petting mixed in with the grooming. In a month, we will try the low volume vacuum again. I expect a better result after a patient acclimation period. I will update this review if our cat never adapts to the sound, but that is not a fault of the pet grooming kit – just our high-strung cat.

Not exactly silent at all, but awesome little machine!
I have a Yorkie/Shih Tzu mix and his hair has always been such a pain to cut. It’s so soft that clippers usually just won’t go through it. I’ve bought expensive dog “professional” clippers that after one use burned up and dulled and completely wasted my money. I started buying human clippers thinking a good expensive set would surely get the job done, but they always break down quickly and make the biggest messes and I end up having to scissor cut the hair anyways.I really hesitated ordering this because I figured it would be junk, especially paired with the vacuum and all the attachments for this price I thought it had to be junk. I just got it today and gave it a go.It works so great! It cut his hair perfectly and sucked up all the hair as I went along leaving practically zero mess. There was a little bit of hair on my clothes but I was able to use the roller attachment for hair removal and got all of it off in a few sweeps. The attachment with the brush is awesome also because it has a little button on the backside that when pushed it detaches all the hair and sucks it up!It comes with lots of attachments and is so easy to clean.I’m so glad I went ahead and got it, it made my job so much easier and quicker.It’s not silent though. It’s not horribly loud either but definitely not silent or even super quiet. My dog still acted like a maniac while I trimmed his hair so it didn’t help him calm down any but he is a drama queen to his core.I feel like the price is great for everything you get with it and the value and quality impressed me big time.The instructions claimed there was a little arrow on the canister to show me which direction to slide it to disconnect it but I looked and looked and still have not seen the arrow, but I just put my thumb in the caved in part and pushed it over to the right (there’s a tab on the left so it won’t go that way) and it popped right out. It’s easy to put back on and so easy to switch between attachments. It’s also very simple to remove the blade and plastic vacuum guard for cleaning. Easy to clean the little filters also. I love this thing! I’m hoping it will last a long time. You absolutely can not beat the price for what you are getting. I was saving up for a pair of clippers I’ve seen used at the professional groomers and they are over 200 without a vacuum. I’m shocked at how good these work. If your dog has tangled or matted up spots, the smart thing to do is bathe and brush your dog first.
