Quality and control at a good price.
This is my second Shawn&Co halter, getting the second after she quit growing. They are made of quality materials, with quality manufacturing, are easy to apply, and still look brand new after one year’s use. I would recommend them for a squirmy puppy or an adult dog. They use minimal but secure adjustable strapping and wide, excellent quality Velcro. And there are 3 very thick D-rings for any angle of leash control, from the top and back. When I need to ensure a close heel, I use the side oval rings that secure the front and belly straps. The handle-hold on the back is very sturdy, easy to grab, and is all you need for a quick hold if tensions arise. And the Velcro badge holder strips are perfect! A great quality, minimal coverage, secure halter with visible badge stations at a minimal price. What more could you ask for?

I needed a new harness for my barrel chested doodle mix. Other harnesses rubbed under his legs and seemed uncomfortable. I have had trouble finding a harness that adjusted for a secure fit and remained comfortable. We take our dogs camping and hiking, so it is important that the harnesses are secure and comfortable for all day wear. This harness is so easy to put on and incredibly easy to adjust for the perfect fit. I was also really impressed with the quality, it felt sturdier than the Kong brand harnesses I normally buy and was over half the price. I immediately ordered a second for my other pup. I like that it has a place for patches as well. That will make it easier to identify which harness goes to each dog.

Great quality, great price.
These are incredibly well made, strong, and so simple to use! Wish I would have bought them years ago. I have two giant schnoodles who like to tug, and these are perfect for them! One weighs 50 lbs and the other, 90 (sisters lol) and they are easily adjustable to fit both girls. They come in a multitude of colors and sizes. I chose black for obvious reasons. The price is incredibly fair. I have paid that much in the past for clunky, poorly made ones. These, however, function as promised. If you need a harness, look no further. Highly recommend!

Great improvements
This is my second Sean cohorness, in some of my very minor complaints about the first version or addressed by this one, the piece that goes across the chest is much softer and seems easier to adjust than the prior thick Velcro on the other version. I like that. It has name patches and was able to find a vendor on Amazon to sell a patch. That fits her size of harness, which is a small. Like the prior view version, the side and back rings for leash attachments are extremely secure. The the harness itself is nicely. Padded feels comfortable on my dog and the handle on the back of the harness for humans. Is also much more padded than on the prior version. Have and will continue recommending this harness to pet owners. My dog, if she gets very wound up. You can pull so hard. She can pull the harness off. But that’s a very, very, very rare circumstance, and I still feel secure walking her in this harnessMy dog is 30 pounds, is about 16 inches tall at the shoulder ( I think, shes scared of measuring tape of all things) and wears a small.

FANTASTIC DOG HARNESS AND NO CHOKING WHEN WALKING EVEN WHEN SHE PULLS.
Love this harness. Function as states. No gaging of my puppy when she pulls. Great value for the cost of the harness. Will check the same website for a smaller in width for the harness to cut back on the heat which occurs when on the puppy, but fine for winter:cold months. Built sturdy, Velcro easy to adjust to keep wrapped comfortably around her chest area under her armpits. No bruising at all. LOVE THE HARNESS and the 3 rings are great when needing to attach, but not to heavy when going for walks.

Best haness EVER!
Ran across this ShawnCo Harness and decided to give it a go. What a good choice on my part. My Papillon, Hero, loves it. I was able to find personalized name velcroed named tags to put his name on the harness so everyone knows his name. As you can see, he proudly wears his harness all the time. It is so easy to slip on and off and I get compliments on it all the time. “Where did you get that harness?” My hats off to ShawnCo for inventing an easy to use dog harness. Quality Product from a high integrity seller
This Essential Pro Harness is a very nice harness and fits my Yorkie well. I purchased this harness to replace a previous ShawnCo harness that I had to cut off my Yorkie when he caught his leg in the breast strap. A ShawnCo representative contacted me after reading my review of the experience I had with the Essential Harness and expressed their sincerest apologies. They gave me a full refund for the harness and advised that they had updated all of their harnesses to include a chest strap that has a slider adjustment feature versus a chest strap that has a velcro closer. (In the previous model I was unable to release the velcro strap since it was inwards facing the dogs chest and the chest strap became so tight that I was unable to pull the strap away and had to cut it off to remove it.)I purchased the Essential Pro Harness and the new chest strap is so easy to adjust the width to fit my pup, and I have no worries about releasing the harness in an emergency.I cannot express enough how professional and proactive ShawnCo was about this issue. Their customer service is stellar.The harness itself is very good-looking, and more importantly, it is safe for my dog. One thing to note is that this is an XSmall harness so it does not come with 3 attachment points; just the one.
