We know that many of you used our Hanging Landfill Wastebasket for dog poop, so we decided to make one just for that purpose!
NO MORE MESSY BAGS: This small container is a great way to collect dog poop bags. Each container can hold about 7-10 bags of poop from a small dog. Buy our 2-pack if you have a larger dog! Buy our 4-pack if you have mutiple dogs.
VERSATILE: Hang it on a trash can, mount it on a fence, or simply tuck it away in your garden. Keep it wherever your pooch likes to poop!
SUPER EASY TO CLEAN. Just rinse it out should it get soiled.
AVAILABLE IN BLACK OR GREEN. Our black is made from 100% post-consumer resin (PCR)!!! Now that’s cool and it’s why we recycle in the first place.
FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOUR PURCHASE. Made in America by the nonprofit Recycling Rules! All sales benefit our education initiatives.

Customers say

Customers find the compost bin to be of good quality, particularly as a backyard dog waste basket, and appreciate that it keeps smells contained. Moreover, the bin is effective, with one customer noting it works well for keeping poo bags outside. However, the size receives mixed feedback, with some finding it great for compact spaces while others say it’s too small. Additionally, the lid seal and fly control features get mixed reviews, with several customers reporting that the lid doesn’t close tightly. The fit and composting capacity also receive mixed feedback, with one customer mentioning that 3-gallon compost bags fit perfectly while another finds it barely accommodates a standard-sized brown paper lunch bag.

    Simple, effective, quality, looks nice.
3 Month update. After using it for 3 months I still stand by product as a nice clean vessel to keep pet waste in. although I do have some design changes.1st make the lid snap shut or use some type of magnetic closure because the wind does blow my lid open pretty frequently. I am going to secure a heavy galvanized washer to the underside of the lid and that will solve the problem of me finding it open from the wind.2nd add some drainage holes in the bottom. I did that to mine because even with a bag on it wrapped down the sides and a rubber band securing it water finds a way in because the lid doesn’t latch and it blows open. So even with a bag in there I have had water in the container. I drilled a couple small holes and that at least allows it to drain water. If you don’t use bags do not drill any holes otherwise the combo of water and pet waste would be a mess. I use bags and water was finding a way in because no matter what type of bag you use you cannot get the bagDown the back side of the container becauseOf the lid hinge. So the bag will bunch up at the back and water will get in.This is really the most ideal vessel to hold dog waste in. I have had small garbage cans, no matter what they will fill with water. I was considering using a plastic mailbox mounted on a post ( was in my cart) and then I seen this. I ordered the twin pack and gave one to my son. We both have Miniature Australian Shepherds. This is perfect. Was easy to mount. I am using check out bags from my local box box hardware store. They are sturdy. The handles fit perfectly down the sides and wrap around. I might use a large rubber band but so far this is holding the bag down nicely. I will say this is on the smaller size ideal for a small dog or really for smaller bags of dog waste to the garbage. Even if it fills I’ll tie off the bag and replace it with another. The lid however is too light and wind will blow it open allowing rain water to get in. The holder has a plastic tabs on the back with slits cut in it to slide over 2 screws. I tightened mine down and this is securely tightened to the fence but I couldStill pull it off the screws to remove and clean it. This really is an excellent idea and am glad I found this. I expect it will hold up to weather with no problems.

    6mo review, wind: 1, hinges: 0
6mo in and the plastic hinge on the lid has broken off. In fairness, not from repeated use but container was sitting on top of my recycling bin as the garbage can was out by the street for pickup and I assume wind caught it as I found it lying on the ground next to the can after falling about 3ft. Think more material in the hinge would be better. Overall, would buy again

    LOVE IT
Our town just launched a composting program, so I needed something to collect food scraps in the kitchen. While this didn’t fit on my kitchen wastebasket as I intended (my fault for not realizing it’s not meant for kitchen wastebaskets that have framed lids), I ended up using it in my Airbnb, which uses a simple white kitchen open trash wastebasket. I absolutely love it! More importantly, guests love it. They feel good about reducing their waste. I feel good that I’m an eco-friendly Airbnb host! I ended up buying a second one so that I always have a clean one ready. Love the fact the lid detaches for easy cleaning.I also purchased the black dog poop container. Love that too. I have it tucked outside in my garden by the back door. (I used to just toss bags on the ground when I came home from walking my Westie.) Love the fact it also has screw slots. I may end up mounting it using those.Well done, Recycling Rules!

It was what I wanted and good for the price. I put two nails on my garden fence and it just slips nicely onto them and I can lift it off for emptying- very easy to use. It’s not water tight so i do sometimes find gross liquid in the bottom. I don’t like the american term ‘poop’- I’d rather it say poo!My council doesnt give general waste bins and i didn’t want to use the kitchen bin for obvious reasons! Its about the right size: my dog mostly goes to the toilet on walks but i use this to put the ones in the garden in and it fits about a week or two’s worth.

Great bin, we clip over dog pen/run. Only down side is it opened in strong wind. Could do with better clip to close but still brilliant.
