Great for small dogs & better than traditional rawhides
My dog has a very sensitive tummy, so I’m careful about what I give her to eat.These are low in fat and not high in protein (which senior pups like mine need to watch out for).I love that these provide her with the fun of something to chew on, and they are made with ingredients that are good for your dog – vegetables on the outside & Chicken/potato on the inside. They don’t upset her stomach and give her the chewing action that she loves. A+ Thank you !

Good product for the price
These work extremely well for my Chihuahua / Papillion mixed breed dog. He’s around 11 lbs. and is 14 years old. They are extremely effective for tarter control and have greatly reduced his bad breath.

Before I learned about SmartBones, I was giving my dog rawhides…My dog eventually started to respond terribly towards the rawhides by throwing up or coughing a lot. I started to look into better bones for our dog and found SmartBones. Ever since I’ve started giving my dog these as a treat, there hasn’t been any bad responses. I would definitely recommend these to any dog owner.Pros: Delivered on time. Reasonably priced. Dogs love it. All vegetable based. Easily digestible for the dogs. Variety of flavors.Cons: Doesn’t last very long.Overall: I will continue to purchase these for my dog.

Not Chew replacements, but a nice little treat.
They’re cheap enough and healthy enough, but they don’t last long at all. My Maisie finished one in just a few minutes. They aren’t actual chew replacements. Also, if they have too many the pups get sick. Stick to what the bag says for the limit.

Great for dogs with skin allergies
My cocker spaniel mix had terrible skin allergies from other dog treats and bones. My vet said to try these and I couldn’t believe the difference it made. She doesn’t itch all the time and has stopped licking her paws all the time. Other dog chews and treats have dyes in them as well as preservatives that my dog just couldn’t tolerate. I know the SmartBones aren’t “all natural” but the formulation doesn’t cause an allergic reaction in my dog. She is also a little picky and loves all flavor of these bones (I have not tried the calming ones in this brand because they are blue and I don’t want to risk it). I also notice there isn’t a “gooey” mess on my sofa or on her bed like I got with natural rawhide (which typically would make her throw up an hour later and why it wasn’t an option to avoid the allergies).In short, I’d recommend to any dog owner (I have three and all of them love these). Amazon is the best price hands down. My local pet stores charge anywhere from 13.99-21.99 a bag for the mini 24 count.
