    Best litter EVER! Handsdown.
Don’t Listen to the naysayers. This is by far the best litter, especially at this price point. I put it to the test. I currently have 16 indoor/outdoor cats and i have TWO litter boxes in my kitchen. My KITCHEN. First thing I noticed on first use is the absence of all that dust flying into my face as I poured. I was a fan of this. Next, I noticed how small and light the pieces of litter were, its hard to describe but something like very small wood chips but not hard like wood, that’s a tough one, let’s just say, it was unique and I was curious. Next, and arguably one of the most important detail was the lack of that classic LITTER smell. Even before they use it, classic litter has a certain undertone, an unmistakable smell to it. Even if its covered by some other fragrance, its distinct. And then after they use it, we all know what happens and its not very pleasant. And even tho you scoop the poop multiple times a day, the smell just grows and grows. I don’t like this, I despise this characteristic of litter and I have always strived to discover some way of snuffing the life out of this stinch. That being said, I believe that day has come. Not only is there no pre-use smell (a subtle earthy scent is present when your very close to it), there is also None of the after-use smells, either. Of course if it’s immediately following and heavy visit, there’s nothing on this planet that will stop that from traveling a little, however, it doesn’t stick around. And if you have a covered litter box, it will not travel very far. It clumps perfect, eliminates odor and it lasts forever. Im my most humble opinion, the only room for any kind of improvement would be the tracking, but that isn’t even that bad. Hey, no one is perfect, right? This is a small sacrifice I’m will to make, the trade off is more than worth it. It’s amazing litter, I’m a happy brand new customer and I hope these guys stick around for a very long time. I am so pleased.

  2. Just My Opinion….

UNSCENTED, excellent clumping & no noticeable dust, real-time and accumulated. REALLY. NO DUST.
In manufacturing, there is a desire for fast, high quality and cheap. You can only ever have 2 out of 3.Cat litter is like that, too: Clumping, tracking, dust. You can never have all 3.I gave this litter 5 stars because it gave me the 2 that I had to have: clumping, and no dust. And I don’t mean “no dust” like the “99.9% dust free” that I see on litters that, when I stick my head in the pan to scoop, choke me, and make me wipe all surrounding surfaces to get that sticky non-dust off.I mean, “no dust” as in:- none in the air when I vigorously scoop (I get the faintest whiff of a grain-like scent, though, but it’s a faint, natural, outdoor smell (this is UNSECNTED – yay!).- so close to none on the surrounding surfaces- even wiping the litter mat after a month had only a minor amount of dirtPreviously, I have used “Dr Elsey’s” and the walnut litters (usually combined). Both are great litters, and do their job, and I would love to use them if the box was in the garage, but not in the house. They clump well, track a bit, swear there is no dust, but my experience was dusty. Maybe my cat is a digger and a litter-shuffler (she is), and she will repeatedly go back and elaboratley mess around in the clean litter until someone cleans it.If your cat goes in, does its stuff, covers discreetly and gets out, they are probably fine.CAVEAT on the clumping: give it a few minutes. Try to scoop immediately and it is a sticky mess (but I think this is normal for all litters).Other reasons I love it:- UNSCENTED (healthier for me, healthier for my cats)- good, very faint, natural smell- unlikely to damage any hardwood floors (the litter consistency is more like flakes of uncooked cream-of-wheat than grits/sand)- vacuums up easily (I can’t tell you how annoying it is to have the stick vacuum just push granules of tracked clumping litter around in front of the vacuum head as you try to clean it (I’m looking at you, “Dr Elsey’s”)! Not with this…just gets sucked right up).- no odor (okay, if my cat leaves a stinking bomb – nothing will work, not Poo-Pourri, Febreeze or a 14-year-old boy’s dosage of Axe body spray, so I don’t use that as a litter odor metric, ever…it’s just got to go). But I stick my head into the top if the litter box enclosure and dig around, even after a month, no pee smell ever, no lingering poop smell (assuming none is waiting to be removed), smells fresh as the day I washed the box.- no rock formations cemented to the sides: “Dr Elsey’s” was prone to this, but this litter almost seems to protect the box. Scoop stuff up and it rarely leaves anything stuck on the box.- less weird feeling on the hands: you know what I mean, that tacky/slimy feel on your fingers when you wash them after you get some the dust on them…guess because there is really virtually no dust.- I use a jumbo litter boxhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075WX7BPD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1and shield, and I pour one bag of litter in at the beginning of the month. Occasionally, I have to add a bit more at the end of week 3, but I am more generous because I have a digger.PHOTOS:- photo into the litter box, lid removed – I wiped. the sides inside with the black cloth- “dust” on black cloth – I wiped the inside of the litter enclosure after 3 weeks, using a fleece cloth.- Tracked litter on litter mat- wet wipes from wiping litter mat after a month of use (there are two, because my scrubbing caused the wipes to shred)

have been trying to find an alternative to the good fine clay clumping litter I have been using as getting to heavy for me and also wanted something more environmental friendly. Have tried, wood, silicone, corn and walnut but either my cats would not use or the clumps fell apart. Discovered this litter on amazon ( but difficult to find even with the exact title) thought I would give it a try. Well,it’s lovely and fine and soft for cats paws , not dusty. really light to handle. and has no smell . even after the cats use it if they don’t cover quick enough, they can’t find were they peeed! it clumps into a rubbery clumps which holds together so easy to remove. I just shake the litter tray and they come to the surface and be picked out . ( no experience of poo as my cats only pee inside but go out to poo. ) The only down side of this litter is the price which I expect is because it comes from American. just hoping that some pet company will buy in bulk so we can get cheaper and easier in the UK. highly recommend

Honestly I don’t get the negative reviews — I literally buy this from Amazon so I can do a review here!To be fair, I once talked to a PetValu staff who seemed to be very knowledgable and told me that just like human, we’re what we eat and the same goes to the cats: so each cat would have totally different PH value and different things in the urine which ultimately resulted in the clump-ability of different litters. However that being said, after having used literally pretty much all the brands and all types of litter in the market (seriously, all of them! because I have a very finicky cat who would pee on the floor left you scratch your head off not understanding why!), this is really by far the best litter that I’ve ever tried, period! If it’s all possible, I would give it 6 stars!I only have two cats, but it’s 2 of 2 “kitty approved” 🙂 Both of them love it better than any other type and brand. It clumps really well — seriously, you don’t see any other litter company does the same demo like SmartCat by throwing a clumped litter like a ball and see how well it holds. Also it covers the smell really, really well. In the past, especially when we have heat alerts, my bathroom tends to have some sour leftover food type of garbage smell with the other natural based litter. But with this, even with the heat wave this year, my bathroom is perfectly fine! And really, there is no dust. — does it track? Of course! I haven’t come across ANY litter that my cats weren’t capable of tracking; seriously, zero brand or product! But with SmartCat it’s tolerable and also when you step on it, it won’t hurt and you won’t feel like you’re living at your beach house.Seeing is believing! — I attach a few pictures to showcase how well it clumps and how little it tracks (and for my other cat who doesn’t like to cover his pee or poop, the tracking is far less with my unique litter pan here!!)Yes it’s on the pricy side, but it really worth of every penny. I used to use the other famous brand of corn based litter, but now I’m a hardcore fan of SmartCat. I just wish I had come across that YouTube commercial and review much earlier and it would save me years of trouble with my litter problems!!

Litter clumps really hard making for a very easy cleanup. My cat has allergies and clay litters seem to cause the pads of her feet to dry and blister badly. There have been no problems with this litter at all! The particles are soft if you step on them and while there is a smell to the litter, it smells natural – not like chemicals and not like urine. It’s been a great litter for our circumstances and needs! It’s a bit on the pricey side but due to the hard clumps, none is wasted so it lasts. Also, I have found it to be dust free!! Recommended!

This litter clumps really well and has low dust particles, however it does track quite a bit because of how small the pieces are. I will continue to try and mix other litters but this one will be in my top 5. I find it does a good job at odor control too as long as they cover their dropping. I sift their box every morning to keep the litter cleaner longer but you can go several days as long as they have room to go and your box is big enough. I have 2 cats and started with the 5lb bag then bought the 20lbs bag after I was impressed by the clumping power. For $50 it’s a pretty good product and I will have to see how long it actually lasts. I’d say atleast 2 months worth of litter
