Pretty and functional pet ID tag
Nice quality ID tag for my cat. It can be printed on both sides. The seller allowed considerably more characters to be printed on the tag than others I looked at, plus a larger variety of shapes. This tag allows enough lines & characters for me to have my cat’s name plus “please call (my name), and my phone # on it. The tag is pretty, shiny, polished steel, although it doesn’t look polished in my attached picture. When I put it on my cat’s collar he didn’t appear to notice it was there so it must not feel unusual or uncomfortable. My cat, Jax, is mostly an indoor cat. He is leashed in my front yard if he goes outside but he is a young boy and still training. Twice he has slipped out the door or got away while my elderly husband is leashing him. He had a breakaway collar with his information on it but breakaway collars do just that. I needed a nice tag to put on his new buckled collar. The buckled collar also has an information tag, but I needed one that would be easy to read if someone finds my lost, frighted, wiggley cat.

Engraving is superior to exacto blade style!!
This is better than the vending machine tags in 2 big ways. Firstly, yes it is ENGRAVED, but not the scalpel thin cut of etching. The inside of the letters (big font) are also completely below surface and has a texture that is best described as sand papery . Just like the pre-made tags with paw prints have the same texture. This is what makes the tag jump out as “this is not your typical razor blade etched tag. In addition, typical tags are similar in thickness to “dog tags “ worn by soldiers to identify the corpse. This tag has a thickness to it. That along with a better quality, metallurgy, wise. It is obvious when you see and touch it that the tag is denser than metals with more impurities, cheaper ratios of the metals used, is consistently balanced in weight and metallurgical properties. Also the edges, surfaces, and minute imperfections are impressively touched up better than a white gold ring that I own. Look at the photos of my tag that says OREO. One photo is with a magnifying lense in front of it to help you see the details of the lettering (black or brown) places. The back engraving is smaller due to the amount of information but it is still a major improvement in engraving. Small font but nothing like a box cutter style engraving that I normally have seen. That is why engraving wears off. No razor blade or exacto knife style of engraving at all! Study metal; durable engraving; easy to read!

The Tag Finally Arrived
I guess this falls under better late than never. It arrived 3 days past the last of the date windows. I have to say my problem with the tag is not the tag itself but the lack of communication regarding the expected delivery date.The stainless steel tag is very high quality. The metal is thick I am guessing about 14 gage. The engraving is nice and deep which is allowed due to the thickness of the stainless steel. I had both sides engraved and the engraving is deep on both sides. The ring to attach the tag to the collar is very strong and again high quality steel. I was able to open it without a problem and slip it onto the rather large “D” ring on my dogs leather collar. This was unexpected since most slip rings once open that far do not go back to the original shape this ring did.I would recommend this dog tag with the note to not expect delivery in the time frame stated when ordered.

I needed a dog tag quickly to replace one that was lost. My dog was born deaf, so it’s even more important for him to have I.D. than my hearing dogs.I’m so incredibly impressed by this purchase! Not only is it made from high quality materials, but the engraving is perfect. I had a lot of information to put on both sides of this tag, and they did an excellent job!And lastly, I was FLOORED by how fast this arrived.
