Big, easy to use, works perfectly with pine pellets
I’ve been using this for a week now with pine pelleted litter from TSC and I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how easy cleaning the box has gotten. I just shake the box and the powder goes to the bottom. I only smell pine and haven’t had any odor control issues. It works perfectly with the litter. It’s spacious, and built well. It’s easy to use and so far I haven’t had any sticking to the sides even with wet sawdust. This is a great litterbox if your cats will handle pine litter!

Best Litter Box Ever – Best Investment Ever! 🙂
This has been the BEST kitty litter box I’ve ever purchased. We’ve had it for 2 weeks now. Before this one, we were using the Breeze Cat Litter Box but the kitty pee would accumulate in the plastic insert that held the perforated tray in place. It needed cleaned every 2 days! With this new set up, the pee goes straight down into the lower box! No more pee smell and I just remove the poo daily and spread the pellets out and we’re good for over a week between cleanings! Our cats are happy too! Best money I’ve spent in a very long time!

    So good!!!!
To start off, I have had several types of litter boxes and used several types of litter attempting to find the best solution for my hubby and I. We have 3 cats in a one bedroom apartment. We’ve tried self cleaning litter boxes, clay litter, natural litter, etc. For the longest time we used the Tidy Cats Breeze XL litter box system. That was good for awhile, but the plastic started to stink even after being thoroughly cleaned, but we put up with it because we thought it was the best option. Then we discovered this litter box. It is one of the best decisions I have ever made. It might be my favorite Amazon purchase ever. I was so nervous to order because of the very minimal reviews. Thank God, it is just what I was hoping for and more! The smell is nearly nonexistent and it’s SO easy to clean. We scoop the poop daily and change the trash bag/pee pad once a week. It’s so easy to change the pee pad, because you don’t even have to touch it. Simply lift up the trash bag, tie it up, and toss it. I’m obsessed and would highly recommend.*UPDATE*I still really love this litter box and it’s my favorite little box system we’ve had, however I have found one “con”. I wish there was more space in between the 2 pans. It fills up quickly with sawdust (if your using the wood pellets) because of there being a lack of space. Because of that I have switched my pellets back to the tidy cats breeze pellets with this litter box. It’s more expensive, but worth it to me.

Awesome litter box (but may not come with everything listed)
Love this litter box! I got the XXL for my cats to use with pine pellets. The sifting works amazingly when the pellets dissolve into sawdust from the cat urine. The depth has made it so that we have had no problems with urine spraying outside of the box. My only criticism is that my package did not include everything it says it’s supposed to include. There were no pee pads provided despite them being listed on the box and on the pamphlet inside, so we had to buy our own pee pads to use with it.

Good, but wish I waited for one with bigger holes to be created.
Wish I would have waited to buy one with bigger holes for my pine litter. Quality is good, other than the small holes. It’s amplified by the fact that the pad and trash bag also poke out and through, preventing some of the dust to fall through. I would like to keep the trash liner and pad because it makes scooping daily much easier. Plus not having to clean the bottom pan. Very perfect size otherwise. My cats do not hop out of the side which is also nice (less litter mess).

Expensive and Oversized, but Almost Perfect for My Needs
I’ve spent years searching for the perfect litter box solution and, while not without flaws, this product comes the closest to meeting my needs. It’s certainly expensive, and it’s larger than expected, but it solves many of the problems I’ve had with other systems. The Struggles with Traditional Litter and the Breeze SystemLike many cat owners, I’ve battled the issues with traditional clay litter. The dust gets everywhere, the litter tracks all over the house, and the smell of cat pee becomes a persistent problem—especially when clumping fails. Even with regular cleaning, the odor eventually becomes impossible to manage.Switching to the Purina Tidy Cats Breeze system helped mitigate some of these issues. The pellets eliminated dust, and less litter was tracked around. Third-party pee pads were an affordable solution, but the Breeze pellets themselves were very expensive and needed constant replacement to avoid odors. It was better, but still not ideal.Enter the Stainless Steel Litter Box with Sifting PanAfter another round of research, I decided to try wood pellets again. My earlier attempts had failed because my cats refused to use them, and the resulting sawdust turned into a smelly mess. This time, I paired the wood pellets with this stainless steel litter box, which met two key requirements:Stainless Steel: Unlike plastic, it doesn’t absorb pee odors over time, making it easier to clean and maintain.Raised Sifting Pan: While it’s designed to sift poop, I use it to let sawdust from the wood pellets fall through after the pellets absorb pee.The ResultsSwitching to wood pellets with this box has been a game-changer. Compared to both traditional litter and the Breeze system, the wood pellets keep things significantly fresher. Cleanup is easier, and the cost is unbeatable—just $6 for a 40-60lb bag of wood pellets at Tractor Supply, compared to $30 for a small bag of Breeze pellets. The stainless steel box itself is durable, doesn’t trap odors, and is easy to clean. The size initially seemed excessive, but after seeing my cats use it, I realize it’s probably the right size. Many litter boxes are too small—this one provides plenty of space, and the guideline that a litter box should be 50% larger than the cat seems accurate here. The DownsidesMy only complaint is that the sifting plate’s holes are slightly too small, making it harder for the sawdust to fall through. It’s not a major issue, but larger holes would improve usability. The cost is the other sticking point. This is a very expensive litter box, but given the durability and the savings on litter, I expect it to pay for itself within a few months.Final ThoughtsThis stainless steel litter box, combined with wood pellets, has finally solved many of the frustrations I’ve had with other systems. It’s a significant upfront investment, but for the ease of cleaning, odor control, and long-term savings, it’s been worth it. If you’re tired of the hassles of clay litter or the costs of systems like Breeze, this is an excellent solution—just be prepared for the size and price.

Cumple su función, facilita muchísimo la limpieza de pellets, la caja M es muy pequeña para gatos de más de 4kg, tendré qué comprar otra más grande para mi gata más grande. Ahora limpiar sólo me toma 3 minutos o menos.

Bought this to replace a plastic tray that was similar in that it had a grated bottom for urine to pass through, but it wasn’t actually designed for wood pellets – it was designed for a very expensive and hard to find propriety litter that I never bothered buying. The wood pellets would get stuck in the grates which was annoying to clean and the under tray wasn’t deep enough to use liners so I just used pee pads and it was messy swap out. This design is so much better! There is a nice deep gap between the grated layer and the under tray so sawdust from the wood pellets have somewhere to go and the pellets don’t get stuck in the grate. I use plastic liners with pee pads inside (some were supplied with the tray but I also just use ones from other stores). I always cut the pee pads in half as you don’t need a giant one when you also have a plastic liner. Means I spend less on pee pads.I ended up buying two of these because I really wanted a second under tray. When you are lifting out the grated layer to removed the liner from the bottom, you need somewhere to set the grated layer down without getting sawdust all over your floor. So I bought a second one so I could set up the liner and pee pad in the empty one and then just lift the grated layer off the one in use and move to the clean one. Then I just remove the liner from the dirty one and set it aside for the next swap. For this reason, it would have been ideal for this model to actually be available with two under trays so I didn’t have to buy a whole second one to make sure I got the exact right size of under tray.I have two cats so I I swap the liner out every other day and completely replace the pellets once a week (in between I’ll chuck a bunch more pellets in to replace the ones that turned into sawdust from the urine). I know you are supposed to have one active litter box per cat but I’ve tried that in the past and they always used the same one!The biggest reason for swapping to the model was the plastic one has been in use for 7 years and after awhile it becomes impossible to get rid of the smell of urine. I’m hoping the stainless steel doesn’t absorb the smell.

This is an amazing litter box for use with the pine pellets. I just scoop out the solids and when the pellets break down from the urine I use the scoop to move the litter around and have the powdered used litter to fall through the holes into the pan underneath. Cleaning it is easy, just remove the bag from the lower pan and replace it. No wasting unused pellets like I was before. Highly recommend!

Figured I’d update after using for about a year. The staining never really got worse. Occasionally there’s a tiny bit of rust that wiped away during cleaning. I suspect that these will still work great for years to come. Changed my review again from 3 to 4 ☺️*Unfortunately after about a month, the metal sifting tray is stained/corroded from urine that won’t scrub off. As another review mentioned, there’s also rust which does scrape off easily for now. I didn’t know there were different grades of stainless steel, hopefully someone makes a better option. Definitely still useable, not sure for how long. This litter box is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I was searching high and low for an XL stainless version of the breeze litter system that would be far more environmentally friendly. With this box I can use pine pellets and there’s no need for using pee pads or litter liners. I put a thin layer of pine in the bottom to soak up the urine (not sure if this is even necessary) and the pine sawdust falls to the bottom with a few shakes of the box. Then I just empty the bottom out and give it a wash once a week. So far it’s working beautifully and it will hopefully last a lifetime. It unfortunately arrived with the plastic top cracked, despite being packaged really well. I didn’t want to return it as I couldn’t find another box on the market like it. I contacted the company directly and they sent me a new litter box without me having the return the old one. Huge thanks!

These are quality litterboxes that are well designed. The packaging and instructions were also well thought out. I was pleasantly surprised by the completeness of the product, it includes a scoop, litter liners and absorbent pads. The instructions were complete and straightforward. The only miss was the hook for the litter scoop; it doesn’t have any adhesive tape and it doesn’t appear to be wet and stick. I didn’t see it mentioned in the instructions either.
