Product description

Eliminate Pests Above and Below the Surface
The Andersons DuoCide is a professional-grade, curative lawn insect control. Fast acting DuoCide eliminates more than 50 common lawn pests, including grubs, ticks, fire ants and fleas. With a unique formula containing both bifenthrin and carbaryl, DuoCide eliminates lawn pests above and below the soil surface with a single application.
DuoCide also features The Andersons patented Dispersible Granule (DG) Technology, which makes spreading easier and increases effectiveness. With DG Technology, DuoCide granules break down upon contact with water and disperse into thousands of microparticles that move through the turf canopy and into the soil for maximum performance.

Applying DuoCide
Application rates range from 2-8 lbs/1000 sq ft and vary based on pest(s) to be controlled. See the chart below for more detail.
Proper application timing depends on pest(s) to be controlled. For surface pests (ants, spiders, billbugs, chinch bugs, etc.), treat when pests or turf damage symptoms first appear. For subsurface pests (white grubs, june beetles, etc.), apply 10-14 days after egg-laying activity and/or when turf damage is first noticed. See DuoCide label for complete detail.

Irrigation Required
DuoCide must be watered in immediately after application. Upon contact with water, DuoCide granules will disperse into thousands of microparticles, moving the active ingredients through the turf canopy and into the soil. Wait until watering is complete and the area has dried before allowing pets or people to reenter.
Eliminates more than 50 common lawn pests including grubs, ticks, fire ants, mole crickets, fleas and more
DG granules disperse quickly and completely when watered, moving pesticides directly into the soil
Single application of DuoCide allows for “double kill”, eliminating pests both above and below the lawn’s surface
features Dispersible Granule (DG) Technology allowing granules to disperse quickly and completely when watered, moving them directly into the soil

Great Seller!
Very bad experience this go around with this product. For some reason it arrived in clumps, around the size of softballs. I had to break it all apart just to spread it out. Zero results after 3 calculated applications. I have used this product numerous times and have had excellent results. The seller was awesome, just make sure to take pictures of it if this happens to you.

Works great!
This stuff is great. I laid it all over my backyard a day before it rained and the next morning there are dead beetles everywhere!! I also do not see any ants. I will check again later when the yard is more dry, but so far so good!

Spread it, Water it, and Forget about it. Easy!
Easy to use and disperse. Treated my 10,000 square ft. backyard for army worms and it did the trick! Company were trying to charge $200+ for treatments. $50 and 30 minutes was all it took.

Great But Coverage Inaccurate
The first time I used this product was to control billbugs destroying my lawn. The product worked as advertised but the listed coverage rate is way off. I bought the 18 lbs bag which claims up to 9,000 sq ft of coverage. My lawn is 5,000 sq ft and even on the lowest setting of my Echo RB-60 spreader, the 18 lbs bag was just enough to provide coverage. I will continue to use this product as a preventative for grubs and other insects. The Andersons make quality products.

This Is the Only Product that Worked to Eliminate Mole Crickets for Me
I bought it because my zoysia lawn in Florida was infested with mole crickets. I have applied it twice over a 4 month period and it seems to have eliminated the mole crickets. Nothing else worked before I used the Duocide.

Worth it
Best stuff ever. I use it twice a year and helps greatly with keeping the insect out.

I changed my mind
There are reviews that claimed this product didn’t work even though they followed directions. Did they really? I too followed directions. I had a fire ant and grub problem. Armadillos were digging up my lawn regularly. I found fire ant mounds constantly and tried control them with the brown bottle stuff from a big box store. All they ever did was abandon the mound I treated and start a new one in a different spot. I finally put down some Anderson’s Duocide. I was fire ant free for 6 months. No residual effect? Ha. Worked great. Also, there was no digging of grubs during this same time period.Edit: I have reduced the 5 star review to 3. A year later I appiled Duocide again. It worked fine for grubs but after using this 2 more times it no longer controls fire ants. Maybe they became immune to it but I get fire ants within 2 weeks of each application and I always kill all visible mounds before I apply this. I don’t see the value in this in relation to the price.

Use this to get rid of the food that moles and critters invade your yard for.
I’ve had mole issues for years. I always tackled the problem from a reactive stance vs. being proactive. This year, I also had some additional issues with armadillos damaging the yard. I applied this to my yard and within days, the rodents went away. The rodents are still around; they’re just tearing up my neighbors’ yards now.I wish I had done more research years ago to address the food that initially attracted the rodents. I highly recommend.
