Our university laboratory recommends that these tick remover hooks be used to remove ticks as shown in this diagram, NOT by twisting or jerking the ticks. Twisting ticks can cause the mouthparts to detach in the wound, which can increase risk of tick-borne infection such as Lyme disease.

This tick remover set is a smart addition to any first aid kit, especially if you spend time outdoors or have pets. The tools are lightweight, easy to use, and work well for removing ticks cleanly without squeezing or leaving parts behind. The included tick ID card is also surprisingly useful for figuring out what kind of tick youāre dealing with and whether itās a concern.Iām giving it 4 stars only because the plastic could feel a bit sturdierāthough itās held up fine so farāand I wish it came with a small case or pouch to keep everything together.That said, itās an affordable and practical kit that gives peace of mind when youāre out in nature or dealing with pets. Definitely recommend for families, dog owners, and outdoor enthusiasts.

Tools like these are very good to have with you if you spend a lot of time outdoors in ticky areas like I do. These are way better than trying to pull ticks out with your fingers and much easier to use than tweezers.The only eyebrow-raising part of this is that it includes info for a service that you can send your ticks to in order to have them tested for common tick-borne diseases. I like the idea of this, but the service starts at $50/tick for the basic test and goes up dramatically from there. Maybe that’s not much money to some people, but I think that will be a big turnoff for most.Overall, these are good tools to have in your kit. Educate yourself on what signs to look out for so you don’t end up with long-term complications from undiagnosed illness.

This hock tick remover really works on the smallest lave to larger ticks.The slits are sharp to get close to the skin and come together to fine in to capture the smallest tick. This brand is based on research and engineered to be fit for purpose.A previous tick remover I bought was a poor imitation of this and did not work especially on smaller ticks.

I bought this to remove ticks from my dog. Luckily I haven’t had to use it but carry it with me when out with the dog and of course its available when I get home. Three sizes provided which is good. plus identification sheet. Potential to send off samples but what a surprise no sign of what that costs.
