This 3-piece brush set is fantastic and easy to use. My cat gets excited when she sees me grab it; she loves the brushing sessions! The de-matting and de-shedding tools work really well on her long fur, and the self-cleaning slicker brush makes cleanup simple. Great value and would make a nice gift for any pet owner.

Not-So-Premium Brushes at a Premium Price
This is a basic three-piece brush set that looks nicer in photos than it feels in the hand. You get the usual trio you would expect in an entry-level kit: a slicker brush with a self-cleaning button, a deshedding comb, and a dematting rake. They will get you through light maintenance on most coats, but nothing about them feels premium and the price suggests they should.Build quality is the biggest letdown. The handles are lightweight and feel hollow, with a finish that gets slippery once you start working through a thicker coat. The slicker’s self-clean button works, but it is stiff and occasionally jams, which defeats the whole point of quick cleanout. The wire pins bend easier than I would like, and a few were slightly misaligned out of the box. The dematting rake will pull small knots with patience, yet the teeth are not especially smooth, so you need to go slow to avoid unnecessary tugging. The deshedding comb lifts loose undercoat on my short-hair dog, but it feels dull compared to midrange tools I have used.Functionally, these tools do the job at a very basic level. If your grooming routine is limited to a once-over between professional appointments, or if you are tidying up after walks, they can be made to work. Expect more time on the coat and more passes than a better made set would require. After a couple of weeks of use, a few pins were already bent and the slicker’s button felt looser than day one.Value is where this misses. At this price, I expect firmer pins, smoother rake teeth, and better ergonomics. This feels like something you would find in a discount bin, not at a premium. If you are budget hunting, you can find similar performance for far less.
