Nice, beefy, rugged leash!
My previous retractable leashes broke, so I picked this one up, and in comparison, my old ones are cheap, plastic-y, and fragile. This one has a nice heft to it, and inside of a thin, fish-line cable, it has a flat cord that feels substantial and secure—doesn’t seem to tangle…stays flat. My new pup (15lb rat terrier) does fine on it—training him to stop and wait at every corner, and the lock button comes in handy, and again, it’s much more stable and substantial than my previous leashes. And the bonus!!! I name my new little guy, “Tug”, cause I wanted a short, snappy name to match his personality, like Jax or Huck, then I saw this leash, and new right away “Tug” was it!! Now he leash is “custom” personalized with his name!! Ha! Great leash so far.

Very nice quality
I have two of these. They work very well and are comfortable to hold. The medium size is better than the large one because of the weight. They are so substantial you can size down even with a larger dog. I like the white color so it’s easy to find in my bin of harnesses and toys.

Strong and worth it
I love this leash. I am glad I got this brand it’s worth the extra money. They are quality built and you can tell. I dropped it really bad on the concrete one time and it stayed in new condition. I was actually really surprised it fell so hard I expected it to fall apart. Not to mention the leash itself is quality (not just the housing).

Overall good, locking button sticks
Works well for the most part, the only thing I’ve noticed is that the locking button gets stuck sometimes. Overall we use it daily and works fine.

Short life- updated review
3 star review: Only lasted 9 months of intermittent use. Ribbon frayed and would no longer retract.Updated to 5 star review: The company contacted me as a result of this review and refunded me. Can’t get much better customer service than that. Will buy again.

Best Braking Button
I have owned many retractable leashes over the years, both expensive name brand and cheap alternatives alike. They all seem to perform similarly and I have never had any quality issues with any of them.However, the thing that sets this leash apart from all the others is the braking mechanism. I feel like it is the most intuitive to use. I have smaller hands and reaching the button is no problem. Pausing and locking is as easy as a flick of the thumb.The handle is comfortable and the unit is lightweight and well balanced but feels sturdy. The tape glides in and out with ease and truly doesn’t tangle.This is a very nice product.

Lenny’s Great New Leash!
What a great leash! It is sturdy without being too heavy. The leash is a tape rather than a cord. It retracts smoothly without tangles and is very easy to stop & unclasp. Works great for my hands with arthritis. Lenny, my 14 lb dynamo likes it too – longer length give him a little more running room!We both Highly recommend!

Trustworthy and Comfortable
This was my second purchase of the same model. The medium still works well a year later after daily use with a 40lb, 3y/o mixed breed. The retractor has begun to fail after 12 months, which is a similar pattern to the first one I bought, but it has been reliable up to this point. It is also very comfortable to hold, even on half-day outings.Actually, I still have the first one, which is solid despite weak and often ineffectual retraction efforts, just in case I needed an emergency backup.She sometimes tries to carry the end in a cute message for me to hurry up (I use the extension) in her mouth, but it shows no wear. She does not try to chew it, but her teeth are in contact at times and I was worried about fraying.She sometimes walks at the end of the leash when she is in a loose leash mode, occasionally pulling. We are working on that! When using the first one of the two, she would run it out often when still new to us (~1y/o 30#), but that has diminished to almost never with training. Still, the first one also last a year even with that abuse.I will buy a third because the first two kept her safe for two years now and so I trust them. We travel often in a travel trailer and leash laws prevail, having physical backup to oral commands has been reassuring to both me and many around me. Up until it has begin to fail (the last 2′ do not retract now), it operated seamlessly and reliable in all kinds of weather for about the same amount of time.I have used a large carabiner to attack a pouch of bags to the narrowest part of the handle and that has been working for over a year. One extension (which as included) also lasted as long as the leash, as did the snap hooks on the ends, and with no failures.I am giving 5 stars because of the continuous reliability in a critical mission. Yes, I wish it lasted two years or five, but this is the only thing I have found to wish was improve and that is not worth subtracting a star. At this point, I am simply considering the leash to be an excellent and proven tool that simply needs annual replacement.

Depuis deux ans, j’utilise la laisse flexi et j’en suis pleinement satisfait. Cependant, étant donné que le modèle que je possédais était trop petit, il ne me permettait pas d’insérer l’ensemble de mes doigts en raison de l’épaisseur de mes gants d’hiver. De plus, la corde fine s’emmêlait parfois dans les pattes des autres chiens, risquant de les blesser. C’est pourquoi j’ai décidé de passer à un modèle plus grand avec une corde plus large.À l’ouverture du colis, mon impression a été très positive. La boîte contenant la laisse enrouleur ainsi qu’un mousqueton supplémentaire est élégante. La coque de la laisse respire la qualité, et sa couleur est véritablement noire, contrairement à celle de la flexi, qui, bien qu’annoncée noire, est en réalité marron foncé. Le mousqueton est pratique, et le cordon est solide. Le système permettant de bloquer ou dérouler le cordon est suffisamment spacieux pour être manipulé facilement avec des gros gants, ce qui constitue un véritable atout. Le grip du TUG assure une excellente prise contrairement au flexi qui m’a échappé plusieurs fois des mains.Bien que le poids du modèle plus grand soit légèrement plus élevé que l’équivalent en flexi, je suis extrêmement satisfait de mon achat, tant sur le plan esthétique que pratique. C’est un produit robuste, et en prime, son tarif est plus avantageux que celui de son homologue. Reste à voir comment le mécanisme résistera à une utilisation prolongée, mais cela ne semble pas être un problème étant donné la qualité de fabrication et la solidité apparente du produit.J’ai acheté ce produit en janvier, et depuis septembre, la laisse s’enroule difficilement jusqu’à aujourd’hui, où elle ne s’enroule plus du tout ! Déçu donc de cette marque qui manque cruellement de longévité. En effet, neuf mois me semble un peu court. Je vais donc m’orienter vers une autre marque.
