So far so good!
I’ve used pet grooming vacuums before and this one is REALLY quiet! Plus, strong. I don’t even have to turn it up all the way to get a shave on a Persian with no mess! I was a little bit worried as one set of blades on the clipper are plastic rather than metal but it cuts like a dream without any lines left behind. The Persian in question is still relatively new to grooming vacuums and he didn’t fuss with the noise at all so an additional relief.The clipper guides are a bit of a pain to put on, they don’t clip on easily but they do feel secure once there. Easy to empty and I can access everything I’d want to clean in the case of looking after a cat with something like ringworm or fleas. I’ve also used it to get at some corners in drawers so an additional bonus there! It warms up a little bit but not enough that worries me and the clippers didn’t get hot during my progress with the Persian which I’m guessing is the benefit of metal on plastic rather than metal on metal. It looks quite nice too without any bold colors which I personally appreciate.A great first grooming vac and if it lasts long term I solid pick!

I didn’t know what to expect when I ordered this. I was pretty pleasantly surprised when it arrived and I set it up and started using it.It was very easy to get it up and running. Just plug the hose into the front of the unit and the attachment caddy on the side and you’re ready to choose your attachment and get to work.. It has three attachments from just vacuuming hair off the dog or different clipper attachments with various sized guards. My favorite it the slicker brush. Brush the dog as normal with the vacuum going and when the teeth get full of hair, press the button to retract the teeth and the hair gets sucked away.My only concern with this is the hose itself. The material just feels very weak and thin so we’ll have to see how long that lasts. But overall this a great way to groom the dog inside without the mess. The containment section pops in and out really easily so it’s a breeze to empty when you’re done.Oh, and it’s really quiet, too. Obviously it makes some sound but it’s not nearly as loud as the blow dryers we have for the dogs. You can easily use this while carrying on a conversation or watching TV without it drowning out the sounds you want to hear. Mine is a service dog who is used to noises and strange situations so there was not even any “get used to it” time necessary with mine but your experience may vary. Just know that it’s not very loud and the suction is strong enough to pull the hair into the containment unit, not to grab and pull skin like a real vacuum cleaner might do so this should be a pretty easy thing to handle for most dogs.

I was happy with this guy not suitable for goldens.
Our vacuum went out so we wanted something that could help tame our golden retrievers long hair. This was working for a bit but I think it lost the battle. Our golden is extremely hairy so I don’t fault the vacuum but it wasn’t the best for us. It seemed to lose suction power after we groomed his paws and cleaned the clippings up. If you have a smaller dog or maybe a cat then I think you’d have greater results but as for our golden we’ll need to keep looking.
