Excellent Automatic Feeder for Spoiled Cat and Picky Cat Dad
Recently after getting my cat Milo fixed, he’s grown a bigger appetite and wants to eat more than ever. He’s started waking me up SUPER early in the morning for food and won’t let me go back to sleep until he’s fed, no matter how much I try to ignore him. I also tend to have to go out of town frequently for business trips and since my partner accompanies me since they help me run my business, we have to rely on available friends and family to watch him. So an automatic feeder sounded like a good idea between being woken up before the sun and having the added bonus of making sure he gets fed while we’re away in case whoever watches him does not have time to stop by 3 different times throughout the day.I am an older Gen Z cat dad who treats my pets as most people treat their children. I only want the best for my son, Milo, and I’m very picky on quality of things when buying him anything (food, treats, toys, etc.) so I spent awhile trying to find a good cat feeder. I was a bit iffy about spending so much on a cat feeder but I decided to trust the reviews.The quality of everything so far has been excellent. I appreciate the locking mechanism as it’s easy to use but is cat proof so I don’t have to worry about him breaking into the food. I like that the stainless steel bowl is removable so it’ll make future washes a lot easier. My cat has had some minor cat acne on his chin from plastic bowls harboring bacteria and fats and because of this, it was important to me that his next bowl was steel and not plastic. I didn’t really understand the setup at first, but once you realize you need to press AND hold the lock button to set it up, the rest is really easy. I think the voice feature is cool, and though I haven’t used it myself yet, I like that it’s there in case I want to use it especially if I’m gone on a trip I can pre-record a message for him. It’s pretty quiet, doesn’t make a whole lot of noise when dispensing food, only a small whirring noise and the food clinking the bowl while it pours out. I especially enjoy the battery option as a back up in case the power were to ever go out, this is again something important to me as someone who has to go out of town relatively frequently.My very small minor complaint is I wish the manual said how much food is dispensedper portion, as you kind of just have to test it. Please be sure to test the portions using the “hand”/“feed” button before setting up portions per meal to ensure you’re feeding your cat the proper amount as I can guarantee you 1 portion is not as much as you might think it is.As far as value for money goes, I did get this on sale and while I think it was still a little pricey compared to other options, I personally don’t mind spending a little extra to ensure my cat has a good quality product especially for something as important as being fed.Overall, my cat is still learning and understanding exactly what it is and how it works, but he’s slowly starting to understand it and starting to enjoy it. I have peace of mind knowing that once he’s used to it, I will no longer be woken up at unreasonable hours for food and have peace of mind knowing that his care while we’re away is a little more ensured when it comes to making sure he’s fed properly. The setup is relatively easy and the design is nice and has a lot of features I find to be important and beneficial. If you’re looking for an automatic cat feeder but are iffy about spending the money, I think the money is well worth it for a good product.

Great Product – Manual needs a little updating
There is no way to avoid military time for the feeder. It works very well so long as you realize that 3:00 is actually 3:00 in the middle of the night!The manual could be more detailed. There was no mention of how BIG a portion size is. I was able to ask the question here which provided me the answer: 1 portion approximately 0.25 ≈ 7 g dry food (fortunately the cat food I use provides me the amount in grams that my cat needs per day so I was able to make the correct calculation.)There was also some confusion about whether you had to use the battery power OR the adapter. That was confusing, My research shows that with the VOLUAS Automatic Cat Feeder, you can and should keep the recommended 3 D-cell alkaline batteries installed while the power adapter is plugged into the wall.I really like the unit. It seems to be accurate with the times and the amounts when the food is dispersed. (My cat is overweight and with this feeder I can lower his portion sizes over several weeks which is providing me with peace of mind that he is being feed correctly and easily.)

Great auto feeder
Bought this for my Pup since she has a very odd feeding times due to her health issues. Its great and keeps on the time with no issues. i have to rase it up a tad and put a rubber matt down to slow her eating. For me its very quiet when it spits out food but she can hear it from across the house. Took me about 6 mins to set up and never looked back. very simple to use and holds about 2 weeks worth of food for us.

I have had 2 of these feeders for over a year now and the work flawlessly, takes a bit of figuring of how much food comes out but once its done its done. About every 4 or so times that i have to refill the cat food i also do a inside clean and check the batterys under it to make sure they arnt corroded, same set of batteries also for over a year and work well when the power is occasionally out. Every year at time change you will have to go in and change the time manually and it IS a 24:00 clock

It needs to be configured with the tiny LCD screen, no app. Would be fine for $50 but doesn’t compete with the others at the same price point

Bien reçu le distributeur de croquettes, en bon état et dans les temps.Très facile pour mettre en service, les instructions sont claires. Bien sûr le message n’est pas vraiment impeccable mais le plus important est la distribution des croquettes. De petites portions que nous devons évaluer. Pour l’instant nous avons programmé 3 portions et 4 repas ! nous verrons à l’usage et nous ajusterons. Nous avons mis 4 grosses piles pour savoir combien de temps cela pouvait tenir. Ce distributeur n’est pas très gros ce qui est parfait, il est blanc avec beaucoup de sécurité : couvercle, programmateur.Le plat est indépendant en inox donc facile à laver.Je recommande ce produit
