Big Hit!
I ordered these because Hartz Delectable Stew is currently unavailable, and that would be a crisis for my Ricky! I kept checking every day. No word on availability. SO… I researched and ordered a couple of brands of cat treat/stews. The first one was a major fail. Turns out my cat, at least, does not like coconut milk! With fingers crossed, I opened a pouch of Weruva. I had ordered “1 if by land, 2 if by sea”. HUGE hit! Even Lucy, who only cares about these things sometimes, came running. Whew! Crisis averted! I know, I know. They have me trained. I left them on wet food (I top a can of that with this gravy treat) because I was told when they were kittens that cats don’t drink water like dogs. So if possible, stay on wet. I also keep Nulo kibble down. Lucy actually does drink more water and eat more kibble, but Ricky insists on his wet food and is rather like Pavlov’s dog every time I go into the kitchen. Way to a guy’s heart, you know! So grateful to have found this excellent option!!

My picky and bored cats love this!
My two cats have very different tastes so it’s hard to get the both of them to love one wet cat food. One likes chicken the most, the other salmon. Even still, they usually get bored very easily with most cat foods out there but this has been by far the most loved by both! Even my cat Taco, who has a very sensitive stomach, loves this and gets excited for dinner! I have purchased the wet dog food as well and my dogs love the variety! I have tried others but keep coming back to this!

Something has changed
This used to be my cat’s favorite food. He would literally gobble up every bite and he is particularly fussy. Now something has changed as shown in my photo. The food is now darker in color (see dish on the right in photo) and he won’t even take a nibble. I called Weruva and they said the formula has not changed and that it is possible that the factory did not make the recipe correctly for that particular lot. I got a refund for that case. Now several cases of un-eaten food later, every package has the darker formula. I have wasted a ton of money on this pricey food, hoping for a return to the original recipe shown in the photo on the left but it seems like it is not to be. It’s a shame because this food is in the range of a lower phosphorus food and one of the few foods I felt comfortable giving our cat with his medical issues. Why do these companies constantly make changes to foods when we rely on them?!!!This is an edit to my previous review. After a year of trying to find a different food that my cat liked, I took a chance and bought a couple of individual pouches of this food to give it another try. Much to my happy cat’s surprise, the food is back to its original color and I assume, taste, as he is back to happily eating it. I revised my original 2 stars to 4. Fingers crossed the recipe stays the same.

The cat is running across me, standing on me, leaping off me – anything he can to get me out of bed – at 6 am (I work at 10) to feed him. You would think he’s starving or the world is ending the way he carries on. He obvs loves it. ❤️

Just The BEST FOOD EVER!!
Did I say Best Food Ever?My cats want something that resembles food. My cats got hooked on gravy years ago. The wonder of this “food” is that it is swirling with the gravy! Not at the bottom of the can. The food looks just like what we eat and in a pouch for single servings. I do give them a few tablespoons at a time so they eat the pieces. Cats! They drain the meat into freeze dried pieces if I don’t stir it, chip it with scissors. Yes, I do all this to get them to eat it all. It works. I’m Happy!

I AM SICK AND TIRED OF CAT FOOD MAKERS CHANGING THEIR FORMULAS
This use to be really good quality cat food with good size chunks of tuna, beef, and salmon in gravy that my cats use to love. Now it is a mushy pile of tuna, beef, and salmon bits, which is funny because on their website they specifically state that their food is not mushy. Do they seriously think that no one would notice the downgraded quality? At any rate it looks disgusting and my cats won’t eat it anymore. I also don’t like that I can hardly smell it. That means that it is bland!!!!
