Decent item. Matched advertisement.
This item looks nice and is a lot better than an open litterbox. I assembled it myself with no problems. Everything lined up fine. I started doing it with a manual screwdriver but switched to battery operated half way through, and that made things go faster. The instruction manual looks overwhelming at first, but everything is clearly labeled and if you just follow the pictures, it’s easy. I have 2 cats and both started using it immediately even though I left their open litterbox out too, just in case. I decided not to put the divider in and I lined the bottom with a muddy mat to help catch the litter. It doesn’t completely control litter tracking on the cats’ paws, but it has cut it down a great deal. It wasn’t cheap, but I think the price is reasonable.

Luxury Kitty Restroom!
I searched long and hard for the perfect litter cabinet. I was originally looking for my own (aesthetic) benefit, but my cats love it, too! I waited over a month to give this review so I could make sure it was as nice as it seemed on day one. This cabinet is well-made and very easy to assemble. My 15-year old son assembled it in about 30 minutes. All of the hardware was included (with extras), and holes were precisely in place for ease of assembly. The included photo directions were clear and simple.The cabinet is very large and accommodating – it’s the largest one I could find. My litter box is the largest one I’ve ever seen, measuring 23″x18″ with 10-inch high sides. I was worried that I would have to exclude the inner divider, but it actually fit perfectly. When the cats move through the divider, almost all of the litter falls from their paws before exiting. This has been a game-changer! Before getting this cabinet, my garage had lots of litter on the floor and needed to be swept and vacuumed weekly. Now I can sweep and vacuum it once a month, and there’s only a few grains of litter to be found on the mats.The top and bottom of the cabinet are thick and sturdy. The walls and doors are thinner, but this is of no consequence to the quality of the cabinet. The paint is nice and washable. The wide side doors allow easy access for scooping. The kitty entrance is spacious, so large cats can pass through with ease, but it should also work fine for kittens. The cabinet has about 19½” height clearance inside, so the cats don’t need to crouch. There are air holes on the back wall for ventilation. There has been no odor build-up in this cabinet (2 cats, scooped daily).Some people have mentioned that this cabinet has a strong chemical odor. It definitely does, but it will dissipate in time (barely noticeable now). My cats had no issue with it, and began using it the very first day without hesitation. My garage is dark, even with night lights, so I added a motion-activated light inside so it wouldn’t be dark. I also hung a small broom and dustpan to sweep the inside of the cabinet when I scoop, for quick and easy clean-up. I hung the litter scoop inside the door so it stays convenient and out of sight, and it’s not in the way of the cats as they pass through due to the generous inner width of the cabinet (19½”). I also added a pillowtop bed to the top of the cabinet for them to lounge/sleep on. It’s definitely kitty luxury, and would look nice in any room in your home.

Product is nice, but had to throw it out after a few months
The house itself is a nice product – easy to put together, looks good. However, our cats’ litter box behavior changed once we started using it. When we previously had just a litter box sitting out with no cover, they had no problems aiming and keeping it all in the box. But once we put the litter box inside this house, they peed all over the walls. I think psychologically something changes and they think the whole inside is the litter box. Maybe it’s just our cats, but maybe it’s not (they’re 2 years old, so they’re fully litter trained and it’s not a senile cat issue). We had it for less than four months and had to stop using it because the wood became soiled and smelled bad. Photo attached to show what the interior damage looked like after we cleaned it out. Posting this review in case it’s helpful…

Well made & Good choice for door closure
This product takes half the floor space of my previous setup and much better to look at. I chose this after reading the reviews of many products. It was best option, all things considered: simplicity of design, size, cost, etc. I did have to purchase a new litter box that would fit inside and the opening needs to be on the short end. I did not use the interior divider. I have not had to do any cleaning because my cats keep it in the litter box. I’ve placed a piece of carpet inside the opening in front of the litter box which I shake out each day. About once a week i’ll use a hand brush to sweep out the litter that the carpet didn’t catch.I like the door catches. They work well and there is no need for exterior pull handles. I just kneel down, open both doors, rotate the box outward 45 degrees on one end and scoop it out and reverse the process when done.

Privacy and Style
Very easy to assemble and looks great! Sturdy construction. Reasonably priced but the extra shipping cost put it up there with similar styles. However, this one is above the rest in looks and how it fits in your room. I do have a larger litter box and it fit nicely. I may have to get a box just a bit smaller so my kitty cats can get in and out better but the large one will still fit. So much better than a litter box out in the open. First day today so will update my review to see how much litter it will keep off the floors and how easy it is to clean. If you’re looking for a way to hide a litter box in plain sight, would highly recommend this one!
