Perfect crate, looks nice, easy to assemble
I bought one of these for our 20-lb French Bulldog several months ago, and then I recently purchased a second one so she could have one upstairs, one downstairs. This was the best money I ever spent. It looks more like a nice piece of furniture than a dog crate. It has a higher ceiling than her metal/wire crate, and it’s a little roomier. It was easy to assemble, the instructions were pretty straight-forward, and everything fit together nicely. She has yet to break out of it. The wood and the metal are very sturdy (and that’s saying a lot for a little escape artist like ours). It’s definitely on the heavier side, but this also isn’t intended to be a mobile crate. My only complaint is that the locking mechanism can be a pain (this is both crates), but once you figure it out, it’s not a big deal. We got the 30x21x25 size and it’s perfect for our Frenchie. She has plenty of room for a little bed and can move around in it no problem. We have one up in our bedroom, and now we have one at the end of the sofa that looks like a nice end table. This way if we have to get neighbors to check on her, they don’t have to go up and down stairs to get to her.

Beautiful, stout, secure, easy to put together!
I bought two of these smaller sized units for miniature poodles. They stay inside at night, and this reduces accidents, damage to other furniture, etc. The first unit we put together was immaculate. I mean, it literally was perfect in every way, well-drilled, parts well-labelled, and the wood surface was just beautiful on every piece. We were very pleased with the final results and how quickly it was to assemble due to the easy to follow instructions. But the second unit was not so perfect. It was evidently created at a different location and there were a number of imperfections in the wood, the paint on the bars was a little sloppy with drips, etc. We were not nearly as pleased with this unit. Fortunately there are ways to turn the wood panels inside or outside to eliminate the less pleasant surfaces from being seen. The finish on the woodwork of the 2nd one also had some goopy stuff along the edges and apparently was not cleaned off prior to packaging, so we had issues with that mess on many of the panels and parts as well. But overall, once cleaned, the bad panels flipped to the inside so the nicer ones were on the outside, it, too, came out to a fairly decent looking end table that will fit in well with our living room furnishings. We have come to believe that nowadays most furniture is manufactured overseas without a consistent QC department, and that is where the problem lies. So with this unit it can be a hit or miss as to the quality. Our first one was perfect and gorgeous, but the 2nd unit lacked in quality in so many ways in comparison. We still gave this five stars based on the first unit and the ease of assembly and cleanliness. The 2nd unit would have been rated three stars for sloppiness, goop everywhere, improperly and unthorough staining, and other imperfections. These are heavy units, very stable, and hardware was excellent with plenty of spare parts to assemble. Instructions were simple to follow and very self-explanatory. Overall a good investment and no major damages. Also well packaged!

What a beautiful piece of furniture! It is well made and was easy to assemble. It offers plenty of room for my English Pointer mix. It’s definitely a compliment to our home and does not take away from the decor at all, despite it being a dog crate. It wipes clean with paper towel and a little spray. I only wish that I bought it sooner!

Nice, wood finish dog crate
Easy assembly. Only issue is the locking mechanism is a little off and you have to push door in hard to slide lock over. Otherwise, looks great in my hoise!

Solid Crate
Looks great with the other furniture. Instructions were easy to follow. It seems durable and sturdy, my dog used to chew the bars but they barely look touched. The door latch isn’t exactly aligned with the connector, I have to lift the door up to pull the latch over but. It locks and it’s sturdy so not too much of an issue from me. Good product.

A fixture of my home!
This is a review many months later after this thing has become a fixture of my home. I highly recommend it! The wood feels surprisingly strong and heavy with thick metal bars. It holds together really well as both a dog crate and a side table. This one is the perfect size for my Italian Greyhound, but it could fit a slightly larger dog as well. He loves it, as I really feel that having it have a solid back to it feels “cozier” and safer than a plain crate would have, too.
