Great brand, good food, my dog loves it!!
I have a rat terrier, he is 2 y.o., and he at times is very picky. My guy loves to eat, but there are times that he just would eat a couple of bites, then would not finish the rest. My guy has bad allergies. Before we started on ZIWI, his flatulence was awful! Silent, but deadly… but, introduce ZIWI, and now my guy dances when dinner is put together, he has eaten every dinner in full since we started on this new food 3 weeks ago…. and the FARTS, have ended! Plus, no gagging when picking up his messes outside! LOL! I highly recommend this brand, Toby loves it!

Best meal topper!
Order this ALL THE TIME. My dog loves it and will only eat her food if I sprinkle a pinch of this in it. Too pricey to use as regular food. Smells like real dried meat and cartilage. No diarrhea when used as a treat and in small amounts.

My dog loves it too much
Warning…your dog will love this food so much, that if you use it as topper, or mix it up with kibble, your dog might just eat this food and leave the kibble behind. It’s that tasty to my dog’s palate! You could use it as a training treat as well.

Yummy fish and sheep food for dogs!
Best Mackerel and lamb dog food ever! It’s great for any size dog! My dog loved it! Very expensive since coming from New Zealand! Perfect size kibble for small dogs or a topper for large and small dogs. Need larger quantities for longer use! Unfortunate it is expensive!

My dog is hooked
It’s pricey, but my picky eater loves it as a topper. The flat and tender ½-inch pieces are great for training too. Five stars, even if I could’ve bought a share of Nvidia for what it’s cost me.

Known to Give Dogs Diarrhea.
We have been feeding our dog ZIWI for almost the past year as it is good food. As many customers noted though, diarrhea is a problem with this ZIWI Peak. With us, guaranteed diarrhea on its own, but when mixed with a kibble with some filler in it, or Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula, rare chance.Just a note. IT IS NON-RETURNABLE, EVEN WITH UNOPENED PACKAGES! First appears while filling out multiple request info as though it can be returned. On submission, they then tell you it cannot be returned. What a waste of time and money.

Expensive, but well worth it and Ziwi Peak’s Customer Service is among the best out there.
I saw Ziwi Peak a few years ago at a local Pet Store, but avoided buying it due to the cost at the time which was much lower than it is now, in retrospect I didn’t buy it because I wasn’t really educated on the proper diet for Dogs, which is a common problem in this day and age, but with the Internet people are becoming more educated.Initially when my Dog was a puppy and into a few years of age, we stuck with Purina Puppy Chow and then tried several Pet Store brands some not so good and what’s advertised on TV, big brand names and some obscure brands sold only online, all of which contained grains, carbs and veggies among a mix of meat proteins and God knows what else.A number of years ago after my Dog had some health issues for bladder infections, the Vet prescribed a food just for that reason, very expensive and after further education I saw the #1 ingredient was Corn, after feeding my Dog this for a month or so, I stopped. I took it upon myself to feed higher quality pet foods and the issue went away and never returned. I also got a new Vet. Dogs are carnivores based on their non-domesticated ancestors, sure they can eat some of it, but having it as their main diet or a high %, is not what nature intended for them.Over the years since, I tried several higher quality brands in an effort to curb some paw licking and chewing that a became frequent, Vet said there was a yeast infection and mentioned it could be food. I went to Grain Free, I tried many different brands, Wellness, Taste of the Wild, Nutrisca, Orijen, Acana and Fromm to name a few. I actually lost count of all the foods I tried, I removed Chicken from the diet thinking there was a Chicken Allergy, helped a little but paw licking and nibbling continued. Also my Dog had a yeast issues as I could still smell it very faintly. There were times when the food totally was a loss of interest and would not be finished at dinner time. I then switched to a grain free all fish diet, for a while, tried a couple other brands, Zignature being the last, but I had to stop due to the % Sodium.I then received word from the Vet that my Dog has early stages of congestive heart failure, which requires daily meds now to manage. I also, on my own, began to research and also blamed myself for the diet I was feeding. I read that diets low in Taurine and also diets that are Lamb & Rice based can cause deficiencies in Taurine. Along with this, it’s imperative that dog’s with CHF be given a low sodium diet, most dog foods on the market are loaded with crap on top of Salt, like why is it needed? Some sodium perhaps, but high % of it or just plain old “Salt” listed in the ingredients, is too much.So after blaming myself for the condition my Dog had, I went on a search to find a low sodium food that met my requirements, I tried a few, but most were still too high in Sodium % or did not even list it, after reaching out to them via e-mail I found out most were too high. I then found Ziwi Peak, and their website is very clear, shows the sodium and also added Taurine benefit which my Dog needs, I ordered a small bag and fed it mixed in for a week, noticed how my Dog devoured it and left the old kibble for last or didn’t even want to finish it. This led to another bag and another, eventually I had switched over to Ziwi Peak 100%.It’s been over a month now, my Dog looks forward to feeding time, devours the food and leaves nothing behind. Stool volume is way down, no more fillers or things that are only detrimental, just like nature intended. Also noticed a huge improvement in the breath department, along with no issues with poop time or loose stools.Skin is improving, nibbling and paw chewing is declining. All the noted benefits of the food is coming into fruition and I hope it continues. My Dog loves Ziwi Peak and also the Ziwi Peak treats. The cost is high, but when you weigh out the positives and vet visits you may avoid due to feeding it along with having a happy healthy Dog, it’s a small price to pay. Also as noted by Ziwi Peak, the portion sizes are smaller than what’s typical of foods containing loads of fillers and carbs, and believe it or not the recommended daily feeding size quite adequately satisfies my Dog’s hunger and also the included measuring cup in each bag is a nice touch.I also have to commend Ziwi Peak’s Customer Service, I received one bag that had a different smell than what I was use to, was concerned though there was nothing probably wrong with it, appears a tear or wasn’t properly sealed. After contacting Ziwi Peak via e-mail, I got a response in a less than 1 hour from the Co-Founder of the company, who offered to send a replacement bag, when it arrived not only did they replace the bag, but they also included a free bag of Ziwi Peak Venison Treats which made my Dog very happy. So I would rate their Customer Service #1, which matches the quality of the food as well.

Great quality food but way too expensive. What I do with these is use them as treats instead. These make for cheaper treats than most but are well balance and very healthy for your dog. My very very picky dog likes them and I feel better about giving him extra treats when this is technically food.

This is super premium and expensive. My dog likes it, well he likes all kinds of food but on ziwipeak, I couldn’t maintain his weight though I increased the recommended feeding portion. I have switched to Abady but that’s so hard to get food but good news is that he’s putting on weight gradually.
