Cheap and effective treatment for fleaa
I used this on a few of the animals I foster (in conjunction with Dawn soap)who were flea ridden and it worked wonders. Not a great smell but it does the trick. Applied this twice and the fleas were gone. The animals tolerated it well.

Works really good
This works very will with killing fleas. I’ve been having issues with my dog being infested with them and was told to try this. The smell is very strong, to me it smells like rubbing alcohol, but for how will it works, I would say it’s worth getting if you’re having issues. I’ve only had one bottle where it seemed like the sprayer was getting stuck, but it is easy to spray. You are definitely getting your moneys worth with it.

In addition to my permanent colony, I rescue and raise orphaned and abandoned kittens as young as 2 days old until they’re sent out for fostering and adoption. Many of them, in addition to being hungry and cold and terrified are carrying a flea load, sometimes heavy. For the very young ones I use a flea comb or tweezers or fingernails (if I have any). But early as 3-4wks old, following label directions, I can use this on my little guys. Sparingly to be sure but its an option. I don’t apply directly, not even to adults, but spray it on a cloth, wrap the kitten in it, and then see the dead and dying fleas when I remove it a few minutes later. For the older kittens and adult cats I spray it onto a brush I keep for this purpose or cotton balls and brush or wipe it on. This works especially well on the head around the eyes and ears and around the base of the tail; this way there’s less risk of the cat freaking out from the spray and clawing me or getting away. My only complaint is that I’ve not seen much residual action so I do need to apply more frequently than every 2 weeks.This may be due to how I apply it so you may get better results with direct-spray applications. I do use flea drops on the adults and scrupulously use a cat-safe spray on the carpets before vacuuming and have had success at breaking several infestations and keeping the life-cycle disrupted. There is a chemical odor associated with it but it quickly evaporates. For shelf life, I had a bottle that was at least 8 years old and it was still effective on the live fleas. I really appreciate the low price and highly recommend this product as part of an overall flea-control regimen.

My go to!
I don’t like using treatments with my dogs, but sometimes it has happen. I refuse to force my dogs to ingest stuff as a treatment and have had dogs react to the pour in kind from a tube. I’ve used Zodiac products for decades on my Golden Retrievers and German Shepherds, I can attest …this stuff works! . I went with other sprays here and there over the years when I couldn’t find this and always go back to Zodiac, so I was super happy to find it here on Amazon! I spray the stiff wire dog brush, then brush the dogs. I find it not only easier and getting it deeper where needed, but it also keeps the dogs from being stressed and more comfortable from being sprayed. By brushing it on the dogs they don’t have to get saturated so there’s less a chance of irritation on their skin if there’s a sensitive dog. I haven’t met a dog or many other animals that like being sprayed either, so brushing it on works great, the smell of it isn’t awful and goes away quickly! This product is hugely effective and a fraction of the price of vet treatments and those other types of eat or pour on kinds.

Somewhat effective
This product was somewhat effective. This is the first year my Yorkie has ever had fleas, and it has been a trial to attempt to get rid of them. I think that if we had used this product at the onset of flea season, it may have been more effective. However, in the middle of the infestation, it is a little hard to control. My Yorkie does seem to experience some relief immediately after using the product with her itching, but she still has fleas later the same night or the day after. I am afraid to use it on her more than once a week. Maybe if I had gotten this in a powder form that I could apply more often it would have been more effective. Not a terrible product, just limited in the effectiveness, in my opinion.

Wow my dog is flea free in less than 5 minutes!!!
This stuff works like nothing I have ever seen. I followed directions and rubbed it around the head and neck then sprayed the body and finished with the legs and tail. I had the dog in a dry white bathtub so I could see the fleas as they came off to make sure they were dead and not just running from the smell. Wow did they fall off of him. They were all dead or almost dead as they fell into the bathtub. Dogs will feel itchy for the first 15 or 20 minutes as the stuff dries and the fleas are moving around all at once. After that…NO MORE ITCHING. This stuff is AMAZING! What a relief for my poor little guy. He is so happy now! It has a smell but it is not overpowering and goes away quickly.
